I will say I'm part of those youths that doesn't derive joy in listening to the National news in Nigeria again, because each day you will surely hear trillions of naira been spent on things and at the end of the day there will be no yield in which the results will be debt. I know spending is one of the most important part of life and so far we are still living, we must surely spend daily. But the government of my beloved country are worst spender who mismanages our funds.
It saddens my heart that as learned as majority of Nigeria citizens, we are still swimming in debts. Nigeria is still struggling in almost all aspects of life, the politicians are also not helping the matter. We heavily pay those in the political power and they squander the money on unnecessary things meanwhile there are more crucial things they should spend on like.....

The Health Sector
We have more private owned health care centers in Nigeria more than the government owned centers. It always saddens my heart whenever I see hospitals and primary health centers owned by the government in a dilapidated state, almost all are nothing to write home about.
Majority of times in a government owned hospitals, there won't be a single doctor to attend to patients and in a situation where there are doctors, they will have non chalant attitude to their work and they usually leave their work to the hand of student doctors (those still undergoing trainings in medical school). Whereas in a private owned hospitals, their medical teams are always on stand by to help patients in critical conditions.

Most times government owned hospitals doesn't have drugs to administer first aids to accident patients. If not for a good Samaritan early last year, I would have lost my cousin who was an accident victim and was bleeding profusely to the cold hand of death.
The general hospital in my state didn't know where their first aid box was when she was rushed to the hospital for help. Sometimes, the directors in charge of drugs would have sell almost half of the drugs meant for people free of charge. What a shame!
So with all these non chalant attitudes from the medical personnels in government owned hospitals, people tends to neglect them and find helps in private hospitals who charge exorbitantly from their patients. The Nigeria government aren't trying at all in the health sector cause those in both rural and urban areas are really suffering from there misappropriation of funds in the sector, so we aren't getting the adequate care needed from the government owned centers.

What they shouldn't spend on
I mentioned earlier about the huge amount of money been paid to our politicians. The basic salaries and the allowances paid to Nigeria politicians are extremely much, I believe a political office holder is in the position to serve the citizens but it's the other way round in my country. We pay them heavily for the useless service they render and their bad financial decisions had likewise led us to huge debt.
The rate of unemployment and inflation in my country is very high and our government doesn't have solutions to it for now. Had it been, the trillions we waste in paying the politicians and their lavish spendings on unnecessary projects are injected in the country's economy, I believe there will definitely be a positive change in the country's situation.
