Hello friends, welcome to another exciting week on Hive learner community. This edition one prompt got me laughing because
it's like I will be revealing to the whole community how I've been living a low budget lifestyle since all these days. But I think it's my choice and I'm enjoying itπ
Although I didn't study Economics or Accounting but I'm a lady that's accountable for every penny I spend not to anybody but I'm accountable to myself, so I spend reasonably on only essential things and save up for dry days when money becomes scarce. So my feeding habits is also part of those things I care about a lot cause I rarely eat outside.
I'm a lover of home made foods, I was raised by my Mom to avoid eating outside. So I find it more convenient to eat at home than restaurants or eateries. Though, on special occasions, myself and siblings eat outdoor and buy some goodies just to have fun but I can say the number of times I tasted food prepared outside my home that wasn't prepared either by me or anyone in my family is very rare.
But if you are at home and have foodstuffs in the house, your expenses can be cut off to the minimum. So instead of ordering food or visiting eateries I prefer to cook at home so as to eat to my satisfaction and also have extra for later consumption.
But I've also eaten an expensive meal before, a particular meal called Ofada Rice has been the expensive meal I've eaten for now. The food is not that common in my area, so when I was privilege to see someone that intend to prepare it for a seminar, I had to order for it so as to try it out.
The meal cost me 6 thousand naira because Ofada Rice comes with its own stew and the woman added a drink to it. The price didn't bother me because I wanted to try out a new meal and the stew alone was garnished with lot of veggies, meat, fish, egg and the likes which I really enjoyed that day. Since then I've not tried new food, I cook my food by myself.π
Speaking of the cheapest food I've ever had is those I prepare in the little way I can at home. Noodles or Spaghetti is the cheapest food I can prepare that isn't time and money consuming. The ingredients for cooking both can be gotten from the area without going to the market to buy, sometimes I can have all ingredients needed at home.
Let me just say, I love cheap meals, that's why home made food is my choice. Cooking by myself usually help me save up my money and be able to manage my resources, that's why I rarely eat outside. So whenever I feel like eating anything, I go straight to my kitchen to cook it and I also try out new recipes I learn online for my eating pleasure.
