No one prays to work continuously without having resting time, even the invented machines that does more work than human ability have a time it will be put off just to rest, so weekends are supposed to be resting time for us. Occasionally, one might have work that runs through ones weekend but it isn't healthy at all if it's all the time because the human body needs time to relax so as to be energetic.
Some people don't even know what weekend means, they work all through the days of the week which later lead to deterioration of their health. I always look forward to the weekend because it's a time for me to feed well, rest and relieve myself from work stress and as well time to use for house chores, then once in a while I attend wedding ceremonies if invited.
As a teacher, my weekend starts on Friday through to Sunday. Friday and Saturday is the time when I use to rest, and do house chores. I don't undergo any stress and likewise doesn't engage in complicated activities whatsoever not like the weekdays. While on Sunday is the time to fellowship with the brethren in Church and as well use the remaining hours after Church service to prepare for the new week.
Good sleep and nice food makes my weekend enjoyable. Waking up on Saturday morning is at my convenience, there's no rushing whatsoever or setting of alarm like during weekdays. I usually sleep like a baby till the time it's convenient for me to wake up, then I stand up to prepare my favorite Saturday morning menu which is custard/pap with Beans cake (Ankara in Yoruba language). I know you might be wondering that washing of the beans for the Bean cake would take my time....my life is stress free abegš¤£.....I make use of powdered beans for my Ankara, so in less than 40mins my breakfast is ready.
I use the breakfast to see road𤣠and clear the way for other numerous foods I would be consuming that day...life no hard at all. I do cook nice soup and stew during weekends so as to enjoy myself to the fullest, so I usually do away with all those fast food I normally cook during weekdays like yam, rice, pastas etc. Then occasionally on Saturday I attend wedding or birthday parties to celebrate with the celebrants. And if I don't have party to attend, I stay at home to do my house chores and listen to good music while doing the chores.
I don't really have much activities during the weekend. It just a simple routine that refreshes my body for the week ahead.
Thanks for visiting my blog and happy weekend ā¤ļø
