Almost everyone on earth has a dream occupation, it's everyone that want to be successful and be the boss no one want to be the subordinate at all. Once a child grew to a certain age he or she starts developing interest in some occupations. Sometimes the interest starts from school plays, career days and some extra curricular activities done in the school.
Having a dream occupation is not bad at all, but sometimes the situations of life doesn't allow it to work out for some people while other people were able to become whatsoever they might have dreamt of right from childhood. All deals with how life happens to each and everyone of us.
During Childhood, I found interest in almost everything; I so much love Military because of their uniforms, bands and parade. The display of unison in march past attracts me a lot and that time I would tell my parents I want to be military personnel which my Mom forbids🤣....I vividly remember how she shouted at me the day I told her I love to be a soldier. She told me she isn't ready to cry over any of her Children, so she shut me up and warned me never to repeat it again.
But on the long run, I found something unique in which I dreamed of daily when I saw a white lab coat which belong to a Medical laboratory technician living in my compound, which is to become a Scientist.
Right from the moment the lady explained her nature of work I just love anything that deals with science. I love the act of taking readings and measurements, mixing things together to give another color, chemicals and the laboratories itself. I so much fall in love with people wearing lab coats and working in the laboratories, it gladens my heart whenever I watch movies that deals with scientific analysis, theories and investigations.
This love for scientific analysis prompt me to strive hard so as to be in science class during my secondary days. Luckily for me I had the best teacher in Chemistry couple with my interest in Mathematics. My interest in science increased when we were introduced to practical Chemistry, this prompt me to go and study more on what I can achieve through the subject and I discovered that my dream of becoming a scientist can be achieved through the subject because it entails so many things. That was my main reason of studying pure Chemistry in the University for good four years.
But after graduating from the University life happens in which it doesn't work out as I've planned, I was unable to secure appointment in a scientific agency in which I would be able to apply my knowledge of Chemistry and I'm also unable to further my education since then for Msc. After numerous futile job hunting, I had to channel my energy to the teaching profession so as to become a science teacher taking Chemistry.
Athough, I know I haven't fulfill my dream of becoming a scientist but I believe I'm still in line because I've gotten my first degree in line with my dream and I haven't derailed completely from my career path. I know it just a matter of time, I will be able to fulfill my dream by God's grace
Thanks for visiting and have a pleasant week ahead
