One of the beautiful creatures from God are babies, their comeliness is wonderful to behold. Babies are fun to be with cause they can either lighten up ones day when they play or make ones day miserable with cry.
Mere looking at the way they smile, will capture and melt your heart in amusement. I'm actually looking forward to motherhood, in which I will give birth and carry my own baby in my arms. I know that day is coming soonest where I will be privileged to see my own mini version gazing at me by God's grace. The day will be one of the most happiest day of my life.
I've had opportunity to watch lots of babies grow around me and seeing how big they have grown is really amazing. The recent baby whom I was opportune to see her grow and as well saw her when she took her first steps was my Uncle's daughter named Kate, she is currently 2 years old and I vividly remember her birth and her first steps. Her Mom is a working class lady so she do drop her in my house during week days which is close to where they are living. Kate is a very beautiful baby right from her birth, she plays alot and once she has eaten she doesn't care about her parents absence or presence at all.
Since she clocked 9 months, she had been trying to stand on her feets. She always loved to either stand or be held in her hands to hold onto a table so as for her to support herself, so everyone is eagerly waiting for the day she will take her first steps.
It was a Saturday afternoon when she was about 11 months, my younger sister brought the attention of her Mom and everyone in the house to her side that she saw Kate trying to stand by herself, so we all are randomly look at where Kate was playing so that we won't miss the adorable moment we all had been anticipating for. We are all advised by my Mom not to disturb her or shout so as not to instill fear in her.
After a while, she crawled towards the standing fan and got up while holding the standing fan. We all pretended we weren't looking at her, only for her to leave the fan on her own and try to reach out to the flower vase beside the TV.
She stood for few seconds and after that she took her first step, then the second, third and fourth, as she was about to held unto the vase she fell cause her few steps aren't enough to reach her aim, everyone at home shouted for joy and rush out to her in an embrace, we were all excited to be able to see Kate first steps.
It was a joyous moment for us all in which words can not comprehend the beautiful scenerio. After 2 weeks, her bumphy steps becomes steady and she moves around scattering anything she sees in the house. These memories lingers in my heart for long and it's an unforgettable moment of joy for myself, Kate's mom and everyone that saw the joyous moment.
