Greetings friends, hope you are doing great? Welcome again to my blog!
We all know how far the world has come with regards to reading, you don't have to be hurling books all over the place anymore. You can carry your library around in your pocket. So which do you prefer? Reading from your phone or reading from a traditional book? State your reasons.
The era that we are today is a time where we can get anything we want so easily, that is, it's a sophisticated time in which everything is made easy through technology. In the world of learning today, so many learning tools or tutorials can be easily gotten from many sites to help solve our learning problems.
I could remember when I was at the university, reading at the school library was always frustrating for me if I didn't go along with my textbook because I won't see recent textbooks to argument my notes. Even though there are recent ones, it would have been borrowed by my fellow students or kept hidden by another student so that they will be the only one using it. But with my phone, I have access to numerous textbooks, notes and articles online.
Technology has really helped human beings in all sectors of life and it has also helped to achieve our aims faster than expected. With the development of technology reading is made easier, So I prefer Ebooks to Paperbacks, it is easier to find various types of reading books using cell phones and internet networks.
With internet connection in your area and you have subscription on your cellphone, you can download as many books that you wanted within a twinkle of an eye and you can read at anywhere at your convenience.
Soft copy books are also handy not bulky as hard copy. Once you read and you see important points, you can copy those points and paste it in your phone's word documents for ease access during revision without carrying books all around.
I admit that traditional type of reading books i.e hard copy books allows full concentration without online advert popping up, but there is no diversity in reading, it's just your notes and one or two textbooks.
However, with Ebooks you can download as many books on a particular topic and get different views from different authors.
Also, it's very easy to find references on Ebooks than hard copy, all you need is to input the spelling of the word you need in text to search and you are good to go unlike in hard copy books where it take time to get.
Conclusion
Both soft copy and hard copy books have advantages and disadvantages, But for me I prefer Ebooks to Paperbacks, all what is needed is discipline and once you've worked on yourself reading on your gadgets won't be a problem at all. It's not necessary to read online, you can download for offline reading so as to have full concentration.
