Good morning dear friends.
In our present situation, we have no other choice than to be engaged to make ends meet. There may be no need to wait or take a break in some cases whereas, you need to identify your intentions and goals so as to set new strategies on how to achieve them.
Tick say the clock, tick, tick. What you have to do, do quick.
This was a common poem during my primary school days that was used to encourage weak students. This is an ardent reminder of the fact that we do not have too.much time on earth. Time is never enough. As a result, whatever you plan to do, you don't need a second thought to act upon it, especially if it is something that is aimed at your growth.
As a young boy, I wanted to be the first PH.D holder in my family. As a Igbo boy, I come from a family of business minded people. All my family members, I mean those who are of the older generation, fixed their minds in doing business. This was what made me decide to study hard to earn a PH.D. The truth is that I am still pursuing that goal but regrettably, I only still have a first degree.
This is why I advocate for the fact that when we leave what is meant to be done today, we may never do it because once the opportunity slips from our fingertips, it may not come our way again.
My dream of earning a PH.D is almost a mirage because the time I could have done all that is now in the past if you asked me.
Recently, AY the social media influencer and friend to Iyabo Ojo's daughter, Prisilla completed his PH.D programme and said he wanted to take a break. Look, there is no more break to me taken besides he already earned the highest degree qualification which is a PH.D.
You must have heard that procrastination is a thief of time. If you set your.mind to do a particular thing or set on a particular journey, why hold back. Just pursue it vigorously and ensure you reach your goal. That is the essence of life.
However, taking a break from pursuing certain life goals gives you an opportunity to relax your “over-stressed” brain. It allows you to revive or rejuvenate your overall wellbeing.
In general life matters, taking a break helps you to reset your brain and recharge for a new adventure which would necessarily improve productivity when you come back to the task again.
There is also more to life than achieving all life goals. We should have enough time to enjoy what we have worked for. Such times could be the gap that we need to balance work and personal life leading to satisfaction and happiness.
Study has also shown that taking breaks can help maintain memory retention and improve overall learning outcomes.
When I started using a computer system to work, I would stay glued to the computer because it was internet connected and that's the problem. I refused to take a break and my eyes got affected. Taking a break could also help you to avoid physical injury.
