The big day was yesterday, and I believe you had a great Christmas day with you and your family. The holiday season continues, and most especially, we are still looking forward to the new year in the few days to come. To some people, it's an opportunity to travel home and meet with their families, bonding more, sharing ideas about the coming year, thinking of projects to pick up, or how to round up a pending project. To some people, it's that time to rest more, have quality time with family, and create more fun memories than it used to be.
One major thing I have done so far during the holiday is spend quality time with my family, creating amazing memories together. I am loving the vibe this year; it feels as if the Christmas holiday should come every monthπ. You needed to feel the atmosphere of love, sharing, and, doing things together.Yesterday, after we were done with the Christmas service at the church, we drove to the supermarket and made choices about our drinks, bought enough of them, including Christmas caps and other goodies, and, then returned home to slaughter our Christmas chickens ππ.
It was nice doing chores together with my kids and my husband. Even though it seemed longer due to how we were playing on duty, I loved the feelingπ.. several calls from my in-laws and friends were flying up and down at the same time, and for some time, we all left our Christmas meal preparations to speak with our cousins, aunt, uncles, grandma, and in-laws. We were taking turns to fry chicken, lols..it was just fun overload π, after which we ate together as a family and started watching movies.
*It's our family tradition not to go outing on Christmas day or start visiting friends, and so we stayed indoors all through, but with activities that made the day so lively. Even though we didn't travel to our hometown for larger fun with our large family, we ensured to create fun moments here in Lagos with our small family. We did a dancing competition yesterday, and it's fun to watch the kids dance like Michael Jackson. Haha, we are taking turns by turns. My husband is the worst dancer,. and of course, I am the greatest dancer among allπ...I wish I could upload the video here, not via ThreeSpeak though but it's not going through.Just know that I danced well @george-dee can attest to how awesome I am in terms of dancing...Lolz
We have plans to visit the fun world center, the conservation center, and the beach, but so far, we have been indoors, connecting more, resting very well, and eating different delicacies I have been trying out. To make my family and some relatives happy, I sent funds across as well π, adding smiles on their faces for the season.
Life has been so busy with me and many others since the year began. Lots of work and sleepless nights especially with zealy campaigns to keep up with the harsh economy. So I believe that parts of the holiday vibes should include much rest, more bonding, and connecting with your family, and that's exactly what I have done so far: getting ready to step out and have fun in some hot spots here in Lagos State, Nigeria.
Hopefully, I will take some shots and share my experience with you all soon.
This is how far my holiday has been. How about you? What's one thing you have done so far? Did you travel or something else? Please share with me.
