In life, we keep learning constantly. There's no big or small learning. I have lived on this earth for the past thirty-five years, and I would say that life has been full of learning, even from my mistakes. One of the things I don't joke with is listening to the experiences of my elderly and taking their valuable advice. Often times, most of this advice helps me overcome challenges and figure out things easier than I should have done.
One thing I will love to tell the coming generation is that whatever their hands find doing, they should do it to the best of their capabilities.
Let me explain this using some scenarios. You see, sometimes it's not all about how intelligent you are or about your certificate, but your little dedication and commitment to whatever you do can make a huge difference in your life. Today, you might find yourself as the leader of an organization, and maybe you feel that it's something you can do anyhow while it lasts. From my experience, people have been lifted to a higher place out of nothing just because of their commitment to the little role they occupy.
It doesn't matter what it is, but so far you have said yes to that; your commitment shouldn't be found wanting. Nothing beats leaving a positive impact on a place. You will forever be remembered for good, and if you don't get the reward directly, it could get to your kids.
Personally, I have shown commitment to different roles I have occupied in the past and even acted as if the establishment were mine, and the outcome always leaves me in awe. This has made me build a reasonable relationship with some great people who, ordinarily, wouldn't have known me. What's that job where you feel it's little or the salary isn't big? While you are still with it, do it to the best of your capability. What's that skill you're into that involves putting food on your table? Do it to the best of your knowledge and see yourself flourishing like a tree planted beside the water.
Let your good deeds announce you, and see yourself achieving your goals beyond your expectations. One of my life policies is never to settle for a lower result, and this has been my driving force behind my little achievements so far in life. I believe in commitment and dedication to what I do. I do not leave things in default, expecting miracles. This is one lesson I feel that if you apply it, navigating life becomes easier. It's been working for me, and I am optimistic about it working for you as well upon implementation.
Why this particular lesson? It's simply because I have observed people get involved in something with expectations without necessarily applying the needed effort to it. Life is not like that; for every one of your expectations in life, there should be at least some level of effort and commitment.
