Hi everybody. How are you? I hope you are alright. I will be answering Week 62, Edition 01 of the Weekly Featured Content Hive learners challenge. The question this time is quite interesting, private school or public school? What about my opinion? Ok, I need to inform you that this is my first time taking part in hive learners challenges. Thank you for creating an interesting theme.
I will answer public school. I was born into a family that chose a public school. Why, because private schools require a lot of money. Indonesia is one of the countries with more people choosing public schools. In a sense, the trend of private schools has not been much in Indonesia. Perhaps, some circles have started to implement it.
The reason I chose a public school is that there is more space for children to interact. Children get to know lots of people and build extensive friendships. In fact, with lots of interaction and lots of activities at school, children will have a lot of soft skills. This is my opinion and the results of my observations, in school children are required to learn and achieve good cognitive results.
However, by entering public school, children will have soft skills that will support them in the world of work. Currently, in many jobs, soft skills are more important than cognitive. This is my experience. Maybe in some countries, cognitive is no longer considered to be an important part of school.
The second reason is cost. As I explained in the first paragraph, public school fees are cheaper. In Indonesia, public schools are divided into private schools and public schools. This private school is managed by the local government. Meanwhile, private schools can be managed by foundations.
At present, in Indonesia, 12 years of compulsory schooling have been implemented. Public schools managed by the government get a lot of support or subsidies. And it relieves parents. Monthly tuition fees, the purchase of reading books, and school uniforms are elements that are subsidized by the government for students.
I have two views. However, because I chose a public school, I only have two views and reasons why I chose that. Here's my view on the theme this time, how about you? Do you agree with my opinion? Hopefully, we have a different view. See you
