Canva Design
Kudos to the organizers and moderators of this contest, I really appreciate your efforts and dedication to always present lovely contents for us.
I welcome you to my entry on the 63th (03) week of the Hive Learner's featured post, where I would be telling you about an app I wish I would create if given the opportunity.
An App I would Love To Create If Opportuned |
---|
As a computer scientist and a system Programmer, this is one of the most interesting and captivating contest I have participated in this community.
For a final year student seeking to perform a final year project, I think this is a useful contest for me to pick out possible topics for further research.
I have seen many intresting/ funny topics through this contest and am really glad to be participating in it as well.
If I could get all the necessary resources and everything is put in place correctly, I would love to create an app that would be able to find missing items. It would basically be a mission of helping a person seek for his/her valuable items.

Whether it's a set of keys, a wallet, or a piece of jewelry, it can be incredibly difficult to find them once they're gone right? but luckily for the victims, I would design something that would help users quickly and easily locate their missing items.
I believe we all have been there before, and I could tell how frustrating it usually is when you aren't finding that particular thing you needed at at time.
Infact I have been in such situations more than you could ever imagine, given the fact that I tend to be very careless about virtually everything.
I could still remember how I would be retracing my steps to see how I could get the slightest idea of what lead to be losing my valuable. In most cases, they are tiny stuffs that aren't usually easy to find.

It's frustrating and time-consuming, and in worse scenarios, when we lose something outside of our homes, the likelihood of finding it decreases exponentially.
Legend has it that the average person spends a total of 2.5 days per year searching for lost items. And the cost of losing items can add up quickly, with Americans losing a collective $5.2 billion worth of items each year.
It's not just the financial cost that's at stake, though, as losing important items like wallets, passports, or medication can have serious consequences on our daily lives.
But what if there was a solution? What if we could use technology to quickly and easily locate our lost valuables? That is where my app would come in to play the hero part, lol😊.

With this my intended app, users can track down their lost items in a matter of minutes, all with the help of their smartphone.
How My App Is Intended To Work |
---|
First step a user is intended to partake is download the app which would be made available in recommended platforms like Google play store and possibly apple stores for iPhone users.
Then the intended user would have to register before his/her lost items by providing some basic information such as its description and last known location.
Once your lost item is registered, the app will start working to locate it. If your lost item has GPS capability, the app will track its location in real-time. If not, the app will use other methods such as Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to help locate it.
The app will send you regular updates on the status of your lost item, including any new information it has gathered. Once your lost item is located, the app will notify you and provide directions on how to retrieve it.

If your lost item is stolen, the app would have additional features to help you retrieve it. You would be able to set an alarm to sound off on your phone when the lost item comes within range. This will allow you to quickly track it down and take appropriate action.
Conclusion |

Losing a valuable item can be a stressful experience, and the uncertainty of whether it will be found can add to that stress. But by using my intended app, you can rest easy knowing that your lost items are in good hands.
The app would sophisticated algorithm quickly and accurately tracks the location of your missing items, allowing you to retrieve them before it's too late. This would save time and cost, as well as provide rest of mind to users.
