I welcome you all to my entry on the 67th (03) week of the Hive Learner's featured post, where I would be telling us about times when my hardwork paid off and times when it did not go as I taught.
The Time My Efforts Paid Off |

We all have those moments when we put in all our energy, focus, and dedication to a particular task or goal, and finally, our efforts bear fruit. For me, one of those moments occurred when I was in my final year National Diploma back in college.
I had always been an average student, but as graduation free nearer, I realized that my grades were not up to my expectations, especially if I wanted to land a good job after school. Which means that I needed to work harder and improve my grades.
I was struggling to understand complex concepts in my courses, I had trouble concentrating on my studies, and I had many other responsibilities to manage, including extracurricular activities, a part-time job at a Cyber cafe, and social engagements too.
Despite the challenges, I knew I had to put in the effort to achieve my goals, which compelled me to sought a plan for proper success. I then remembered the 5 Ps to a successful result which I was made to understand that it stands for "Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance."

I then dedicate myself to my studies, as I set aside time to focus, and ask for help when needed. I was determined to improve my grades and prove to myself that I could succeed.
Because of my side-hustles, I had missed lots of classes, which had been my pattern since I started school. But I had to make up for classes missed. I went to my YouTube for better tutorial videos on every topic that's had given me headache.
I had not put in so much effort into succeeding like I did in that semester. It was as if my life depended on it, as I even neglected food in some days because I was reading, lol.
I had this bad habit of procrastinating and doing things at the very last minutes/periods. It was more of preparing late to every important thing. However, I didn't allow my bad habit to interrupt me from preparing for the forthcoming exams.
I made sure I read through past questions and was very conversant with the topics of the courses. It came to pass that after the exam, I made it real big with my grades.
For that final semester, I was among the top 3 students with that best grades, as I had lots of A's and some few B's to put me in the First class position.
You could imagine that feeling of joy and pride just because my efforts didn't go to waste. My hardwork paid off, and I learnt alot from what happened.
This experience taught me a valuable lesson about the importance of hard work and dedication. When we put in the effort and stay focused on our goals, we can achieve great things.

It also reminded me that success is not always easy, and that we must be willing to put in the work to achieve our goals. It's a lesson that I will carry with me throughout my career and in other aspects of my life.
The Time My Efforts Didn't Pay Off |

When it comes to working hard, the rewards are usually very exciting and pleasant, but just as important as celebrating our successes, we should also recognize our failures, and understanding what we can learn from them.
I’ve learned that sometimes hard work and dedication pays off and other times it does not, as I have experienced the highs and lows of putting in extra effort.
There was this one time I was seeking a job to earn some extra income for myself and my responsibilities. I needed this job at that time because I wanted to prove something to my former boss who had disrespected me, lol.

I wanted a new place to earn higher than where I was currently working. And as grace may have it, I was opportuned to see a vacancy for application.
I had to apply for the job because the py was higher than my current job, exactly how I wanted it. I was willing to do anything to secure this job, and I sure had to make proper preparation for the interview.
Just as I had prepared as good as I could, and did excellently well in the various interviews, I still didn't get the job. Infact I didn't even hear from the company again after they said they would get back to me.
It ended up destabilizing me, as my work, time and effort were wasted while preparing and waiting for the job. It was disappointed to me at first, but I still leant a valuable lesson from that experience.
I learnt that life must not always good the way we had plan, infact sometimes negative things happen to is to prepare us for the greater and better future.

I still got an equally good and less stress job some few days later, which goes to show that good things awaits you all the time when you work hard positively.
