Being clean is a very important thing that aid healthy living. Irrespective of the financial capacity of an individual, it is important they their surrounding is very clean so as to avoid the spread of bugs and other disease causing microbes.
In some cases, it seems like rich people are majorly the cleanest. I don't know why it is like that, but most times, when a person starts being rich, their level begins to change and they stop doing certain things that will bring dirt to their environment. Things they used to do when they were not rich.
Growing up as a kid, i was not the cleanest. In fact, i was not a clean child at all. I remember back then when i was in primary school, i did not like to shower. Most times, if i'm asked to take a shower, I will go into the bathroom and wash only my hands, legs and face. Sometimes, i will not even wash my head.
When i finish, I will rub lotion on my body so that it will shine as if i bathed. From, there, off i go to school. My mom trusted me enough to bath myself, not knowing that i don't actually bath, i just rub water and lotion and then shine as if i was dipped into oil.
Washing ny clothes was problem. I rather wear a dirty cloth than to sit at a place and wash. Me and being dirty were close friends. My mom always shouted at me and most times, disciplined me, but then, after each round of being flogged, i still go back to do the same thing. I continued this same attitude until i eventually changed.
I have seen many poor people that are really dirty. I don't know if dirtiness is pegged to poverty or something, but most poor people i have come across are always lazy to take care of their surrounding. When I was living dirtily as a kid, i was poor in the aspect of being clean and didn't know that i needed to up my game when it comes to cleanliness.
I have also seen rich people that have poorly kept environment. Some of them will hire a maid to do the cleaning for them. Some are very rich, but due to the nature of their job, their environment or a part of their environment will be very dirty.
I don't actually think a persons level of cleanliness is dependent on their cashflow. Somebody may be very rich but they will not have the mindset of living in a clean surrounding. They may have all they need to clean their house, but still not have it cleaned.
I think cleanliness is not a thing of wealth but a thing of the individual involved. A poor person with limited resource can be cleaner than a rich person that has all they ever wanted.
If the person does not have it in their mindset to be clean, then, they can not be clean even if they have all the money in the world.
