I have met quite a lot of people in this community, made friends and also gotten a crush. Don't ask me who she is, all you need to know is that she's awesome.
My knowledge have grown to a good extent, though not yet contented and need more knowledge, but I will admit, I'm better than I used to be.
Irrespective of the goodies I have gotten from the newbies community, I plan on releasing the kraken on it through written words by emphasizing the importance of reasonable and discussion centered comment.
There no sacrifice to do the kraken yaknow, do brace yourself with popcorn in hand.
Building connections on hive is something that is very vital and all users must endeavor to do, if they want to grow in the platform that is.

Engagement with other authors is a concept which has its power underestimated by many, and well, the consequences was passed to those who underestimated the lower of engagement.
Engagement with others brings about connecting with other authors which will enable a person achieve unlimited results with hive.

There are many ways to build connections here on the and some of them are as follows:
- Engagement with authors in hive: you have heard me talk about engagement over and over again. What is this engagement you may ask? Is it when a male goes down one knee and propose to his girl friend with a diamond ring in his hand, you may ask.
Engagement is far from that, it is basically interacting with other authors in their post. Giving meaningful interaction hat will create a chain of positive discussion towards the given topic.
- Initiate a project or an initiative: I don't really have a project to initiate but I hope one day, I will have a project.**
Since I don't have a project yet, I joined one and i have really made progress with it.
So, I joined this community few months ago, and this community is basically about keeping he planet clean. I made a lot of interaction and from the little connection I made, I joined the clean planet project and became the community curator. From being the community curator, I am now part of the clean planet team as the community moderator. Click here to visit the community. - Bring about a positive change in hive: a user can create connection by bringing about a positive change in the hive platform. This can be done by doing something that will impact positively othe authors. This is where you content, comment and upvote comes in. An author needs to be willing to give these small sacrifices in other to get more connections with hive.
Make at least 4 meaningful and detailed comments on people’s posts, and create a conversation out of the post.
It is important as hivers to make meaning full comments on people's post to encourage them and also, to discuss with them based on the context, and get better understanding on the topic.

What is the difference between this type of detailed engagement and short comments like “nice post”?
There is a lot of difference between short comments like "nice post" and detailed comment.
Personally, I don't like responding to short comments but I do anyways, because I have to. .
One major difference between short comments and detailed comment is that Short comments make the author lose the spirit of communication while detailed comments boost the authors spirit towards communicating.
Short comment are unprofessional while detailed comments makes a person look professional and smart.
Authors are encouraged by detailed comments as it talks about the content's flaws as well as goodies while authors are discouraged by short comment.
Detailed comment make a person appear smart, and worthy of connecting with while short comment makes a person appear unprofessional .
People are drawn to the comments you make and this is one of the major things we should do in other to take our connection to the other level.
What is something new that you’ll start doing now to connect with people and make friends on Hive?
It is very important to keep a good relationship with hivers as it will help boost ones connection.
I will keep up with the work of engaging with other authors and make sure to always keep a detailed and honest comment as usual.
I have noticed that rebloging a post also helps to bring about connection, however, I plan to do this too on very good posts.
