Many of us will admit that 2022 was a year of lessons as it taught us a lot in which many decided to learn and others decided not to learn.
Out of all the lessons that 2022 taught us, the most important one I took there is to improve myself and not to prove myself.
Let's stop the words of wisdom there 'biko'( meaning please), because I'm not here to motivate us like this, I'm here to share my pain.... It's now left to you all to console me😂..
This all started on the 11th of December when a very noble hiver and a brother to me @starstrings01 asked me a question. He said; "I am a holding a Christmas get together... would you love to be part"...
At that point, I immediately became troubled and happy at the same time. This mixed feelings came because I had doubts that I might not make it to the get together. I was also excited because I got a consideration from a very noble hiver and an impactful friend, especially with the understanding that I might get to see him after so many years since we both finished our national diploma program in the same polytechnic in the year 2018 I guess.
In the message He sent, it also appeared that the likes of @josediccus , @k-banti, @ksam were to be there. I saw this as a privilege to meet amazing people especially @josediccus who is a grand mentor to many on hive and has given people reasons to keep pressing forward in the blockchain.
I couldn't meet up with this get together because of the short break given to us during the yuletide season.
Our exams are to commence on the 9th of January and it will be unreasonable to journey from Akungba to Lagos for a week and few days break.
The food didn't really pain me, it was the ideas that were shared during the meeting that pained me.
Make I No lie, this food wey I miss pain me😂
This is the major reason why I missed that beautiful get together.
The beautiful thing is that I know that we will definitely meet someday.
