Hello, everyone.
designed on canva.
Welcome to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learners' featured post. Risk taking is part of human life. In order to succeed, in order to attain desired standards, gain financial freedom, and be completely independent, one must take risks, hoping that the odds are in one's favor.
Whatever we have tomorrow—the flashy life, cars, house—the wealth is a result of the risk we took yesterday or in the past. Risk-taking puts you at an advantage to achieve your dreams; one cannot sit down with folded hands doing nothing and expect things to fall into place.
Risk simply refers to a situation that exposes one to losses. Any situation or decision that might land one in jeopardy is considered a risk; in this case, I am more focused on financial risk. To make things work, you must be ready and willing to take risks. Investment risk, partnership risk, or any type of risk to gain financial freedom and stability
There are so many things to consider before taking a risk; these include:
The Pros and Cons: Before taking a risk, one must weigh the advantages and disadvantages of the risk they are about to take. One must be sure the advantages outweigh the disadvantages before taking a risk, as there's no turning back once you take one.
The Losses: One must ensure they can bear to lose what they are about to risk just in case things go sideways. One should not take a risk with their life savings or money kept for other projects. Sometime ago, a friend of mine invested his school fee in cryptocurrency, and there was a dip. He almost dropped out of school because of his mistake.
Potential Returns: The reason we take risks is to make profits; any risk you are taking without profits is a bad idea. Before we take a risk, we should check the potential returns, which will determine if the risk is worth it or not.
Overcome Your Fear: Many people are scared of taking risks because they fear they might fail, and this has made many miss lifetime opportunities that could change their lives. Before you take a risk, make sure you have been able to overcome your fear of failure. Focus on the benefits that come later; it might help motivate you to take the risk.
Consult Other Risk Takers: Take advice from people who are risk takers as well; don't do it all on your own; hear their own opinion about the risk you are about to take. They might analyze it better than you.
We take risks for the benefits that come with doing so; if no benefits come with the risk we take, then we shouldn't do so.
Financial Freedom: The potential returns from the risk taken liberate one from the hands of poverty; you attain all your financial dreams, and the life you dream of becomes a reality.
Become a Pro: The more risk you take, the more you become a pro when it comes to taking calculated risks. You become more confident in yourself and can depend on your instincts about whether to take a risk or not.
