Hello, everyone.
Welcome to my blog and another wonderful edition of the Hive Learners' featured post. I never liked attending parties or going to crowded places, but I gained admission to the university, and all this changed. Saturdays are for weddings, and most times when we run out of foodstuffs, attending weddings uninvited becomes our only option.

Sometimes we even overdress and look like we were actually invited; a man just has to survive, no matter what. If you are staying in a school hostel, then if you cannot beat them, you ought to join them. I never liked the idea in the first place, but when my roommates and the other guys attend these parties and return with all the goodies, nothing hurts more than when they refuse to share with you because you refused to go with them. You will watch them devour everything, and all you can do is salivate.
I suffered from salivation for some time, and I could not take it anymore, so I joined the crew. I make sure nothing tampers with my schedule on Saturdays so I won't miss out on any occasion held nearby. We attended so many occasions, and there was enough to eat and in many guests were allowed to serve themselves. This was the best feeling, as we were able to eat to our satisfaction and had some takeaways to be carried home.
As party crashers, we only attend reception, and we go as early as possible so we can secure a front seat and not hear stories like we are out of refreshments before it gets to our turn. Survival instincts in school are quite different from one student to the next.
We continued our quest until we attended an occasion where our cover was blown š We stepped into the reception venue, and everything was well organized, like always. We immediately secured a table and were offered tablewater. The MC in charge was a funny guy, and he did his job so well we all laughed and even forgot our sorrows. They brought dancers, and the guests and party crashers were well entertained.
It was time for refreshments, and the moment my friends and I have been waiting for, and we noticed the chief caterer goes from table to table to collect something from the guest, we got scared, and we were trying to figure out what she was collecting and taking note of, only for her to show up at our table, asking for an invitation card, and that food was only given to those with an invitation card š
With the look on our faces, she knew we were party crashers, and she said, "Unu bu ndi nri" (those that came to eat). We were scared we would get walked out or disgraced in public, only for her to call her girls to bring food to our table. We ate scared and left immediately after thanking her for not blowing our cover. Until we left, it wasn't funny, but imitating each other on how we acted when she asked for our invitation card was so funny.
I stopped being a party crasher after that š, and I miss the happy moments thatcomes with every successful mission.
Thanks for reading my post.
