Good day, people of Hive! Welcome to my blog. Today's topic is "Your Moral Code.", firstly I will define a moral code.
To me, a moral code is a rule that a person has to follow to become someone great in life, and my moral code is showing compassion.
I love showing compassion to people because I know all fingers are not equal. I came from a Christian background where my grandma taught us a lot of morals and am grateful to her and her teaching because her teaching has had a great impact on my life.
I'm someone who loves to show compassion to others; anytime I see someone having a problem, I will make sure to help that person no matter what. Anytime I see my loved ones unhappy, I will try to cheer them up and try to listen to them so that they will know they have someone who's there for them. Even I am someone who accepts people for who they are because every one of us is not perfect and we all make mistakes, so who am I to judge them when I am not perfect also?
I'm someone who respects people's boundaries a lot. If someone is sad and I try to find the reason why and they say it's nothing, I will leave it because I know if they want to share it, they will have to share it. Also, if I see I made a mistake or offended someone, I will make sure to apologise to that person, because I hate it when I make a mistake or offend someone.
A month ago, when I was chatting with one of my friends because she hadn't been coming to school because she was sick and was admitted to the hospital, I always called her and tried to ask about her health because where she's living is far from my place and someone must have up to #2,500 to go and come, and I don't have that amount at hand. I had to beg her not to be angry because I didn't have the money, and she said she understood. So, two weeks ago when I was chatting with her on Sunday morning she said she was in one of our friend's houses and the money to reach our friend's house was #500, after I was back from church, I went to meet her by buying fruits for her.

She was surprised because she wasn't expecting me to come or to buy her fruits. She was happy and thanked me a lot. Last week when we were chatting, I saw how her voice was. I asked her what happened; she said she hadn't eaten since yesterday night because she didn't have money and she was hungry and she had to take drugs because of her health, and I saw how her voice was sad. Then I asked her to send me her account number, and I sent her #500 to manage because I didn't have any money with me, and the money I wanted to use it to do something but because she was hungry I didn't think twice before sending her the money. She was surprised because she knew I didn't have anything, but still, I managed to give her something.
Showing compassion has been my thing; even people used to say my compassion wouldn't get me in trouble, but who am I when compassion is my moral and I love to show my compassion to people?
