Work is a very important aspect in every person's life, one way or another we have to tends to one responsibility or another, all of which requires money, and you need to have a job or or daily work hustle in order to get the money.
Every one must work to meet up their ends.
I am always having the believe that everyone must work so as to Feed,and get the basic amenities of life.
Unless you are living off your family's Inheritance or Won a massive Jackpot that eased your way to enjoy good life
You must Source some jobs that will earn you some decent money.
Here in Nigeria a lot of the citizens usually work up to 6 days in a week, some even work as long as seven days a week with a lot of additional side hustle.
What is the implications of this?
Many people that work relentlessly have money but more health complications, this is so true, although I don't blame the people, the economic conditions of the country presently requires a multiple sources of income in order to cater for the basic needs, especially in a condition where you have a family and responsibilities are much. Many don't even eat adequately or maintain any healthy lifestyle because of this.
The worst scenario is when you are salary earner and then you are being underpaid.
Being Underpaid means you have to work more, working more will mean more time and days to earn more.
I have once experienced overworking some years ago, when I was still teaching, I was being paid fifteen thousand naira (#15,000) per month, then the economy was not so bad during that time, but I have to work more hours so as to make more money to meet my Needs.
I started with having home lessons with some of the pupils, I was earning more but my health and productivity is being widely affected.
If perhaps I was being paid well, I won't even think of doing some extra business and just wait to for the Salary.
What do I think about 4 days a week work?
Honestly a four day work in a week may sound great but it might not be implemented in some parts of the world
It would be great for relaxation and self reflection on the part of the citizens which in turn make can make people to be more productive.
But the sad reality is that this won't necessary means more money or higher salaries.
Having for working days in Nigeria too doesn't look feasible, this is because the economy is presently not so good, this simply means that if the work time or days used for working is reduced, there might possibly be a lot of citizens who would be suffering because they might not be able to meet up with their needs.
In conclusion:
I will just stick to my five days working day, and let the other two day be for enjoyment and relaxation.
