Hello friends of Hive Learners Community, it's a pleasure to write to you all about my experience sometime ago in a program I attended.

We organized a program as the youth of the church and everyone was expecting the program to be lively since it is the youth of the church that are handling it. I happen to be the person in charge of directing the program and assigning roles to everyone to play in the program. I have organized the music team and told them what we wanted for the program and the need for them to carry out their duties effectively since they are playing a crucial role in the program.
It's actually not easy to be a leader and this very program made me learnt allot about leadership. A leader should be ready to bare the cross of leadership, leadership comes with a lot of responsibilities to handle, one has to think both inside and outside the box to be able to pilot the affairs of the group properly. I tried my possible best to make sure we have an amazing program that day but something came up.
As the leader of the group, I have assigned roles to every subgroups to handle, I also took part in one of the subgroups specifically the drama unit. I was supposed to play the role of a father in the drama together with my colleague playing the same role for the second family. We have arranged everything and planned on how to get our costumes for the drama. On the day of the program while I was anchoring the program, I was called upon that my second colleague who was supposed to act as a father for the second family didn't come to church and his number isn't going through, I searched for someone who will take his role and just cover up a bit for him but I found none.
When it was time for the drama, all the drama members were looking at me and waiting for the magic I will perform to make the drama workout that day. I first of all entered inside and acted the role of the father for the first family and got outside very fast. I hurriedly changed few of the costume on me to fit in for the second family, then quickly rushed inside for the role of the father for the second family. I almost got crazy that day but God helped me, thank God the congregation didn't murmur too much about the time I usually take before I come out to the stage to act, they realized I was double tasking and and didn't complain at all.
It was indeed a sad and tough experience for me but I am glad we didn't cancel the drama but acted it despite the problem we had. The next day the person that was supposed to act the second part meet me and apologized for not coming because he had serious issues at home and couldn't make it to the church. I smiled and asked him "hope you are fine and everything is going well with you now?" He responded yes and that was just it, no exchange of words and no drama. I really love the fact that I don't give up easily on things or circumstances. It was indeed a memorable day for me, thank you very much for reading through.
This is my entry for Hive Learners weekly contest for week 105 edition three.
