The world of technology has its cons and pros for the benefit of the users. Many on social media that experienced hackers or scammers, do not enjoy it especially when big money is involved. Technology is not too sophisticated for the operators but it is sophisticated for those who are new and therefore they should be wiser enough to care of their phones or computers to avoid being attacked by hackers.
In simple terms, my phone must be well taken care of to avoid an intruder having access to my details and information and to maintain the confidentiality of my data being hacked. The hackers are not as far-fetched as the people who access your devices with or without your permission. It is on social media like Facebook, the hacker would use your account and make money.
If it is your bank account details, you are not sure of the person you are giving your ATM card to, one day the person will loot everything in your account and you will turn to square one.
However, In computer devices, particularly in the crypto world, a person who is well vested in crypto knows how to get people's details to their account to be hacked and loot the money in the account. For instance in the Hive Blockchain, if my keys are well-kept and protected by me, my account can be hacked at any given time and all my investments would go. Here, we should be cyber-conscious of our personal information.
Furthermore, with experiences of people's accounts being hacked, I have never experienced such and don't want to experience it. It can be painful and cry the hell out, importantly if you invested billions and with a twinkle of an eye, your account is locked. You know how bitter you will be.
So I want to share the story of a loved one, who became a victim of cybersecurity failure. And this happened to be a very close friend of mine. He liked cryptocurrency, he talked about it with crypto enthusiasts who are grounded in this field. He is always desperate to know about all the Cryptocurrencies in the world. After his investigation, questions, and research he took a bold step to build and develop his blog like others. He built and started engaging his blog, he invested billions into the account, and he had many followers and users who engaged and created different content. I don't know how he did it, trusting other people with his computer system, not knowing this guy had taken his information about his new account or blog. At the same time, the hacker was smart, he stayed for months before the hacking process started.
This hacker without compassion hacked my friend's account and he fainted on the floor. His account was hacked, and he couldn't access it anymore. His family savings and his brother's servings were gone. He couldn't console himself at that point but he stood up as a man and continued with the hope everything would come back to life.
After two months, his account was delivered without a dime taken away. This was glorious and exciting. According to him, he said the hacker didn't have peace of mind. My friend learned his lesson and never allowed his laptop to be used by anybody. He had to confirm that everything on his computer was intact. He changed his security code and revamped the whole thing. He made it robust and well-established for himself.
I want to let you know that, cybersecurity starts with you and you must protect and secure what you have.
Be cyber-conscious
