An impromptu test comes unexpectedly, unprepared, to the students and workers of any organization. This happens to all us, especially the students of any higher institution. At times, it annoys when I go for lectures without reading my previous notes and not being able to predict the lecturers mind. It gets me upset because it adds to my assessment and when the score is not measurable, it will cause a problem.

These impromptu tests have happened to me in my secondary school, and it has happened to me in my university level. Last semester I had an impromptu test in this course called Generative syntax.
After lecturing, he asked us to take a piece of paper and write our names, all my colleagues were shouting and pleading with the man to fix it next time, he didn't accept our pleadings. We wrote it and submit to him.
Thank God the outcome was manageable and free to go.

This particular lecturer is still teaching us in this, our final level. At first, when he started teaching us last semester, it was as if he was teaching master students, he was very difficult and very rare before he laughs with the students, now there is a massive change in his life, he teaches with a smile on his face and also make fun in his class for the students to adapt to his teachings. Not forgetting about his attitude of giving impromptu tests, oh.

I have enjoyed his class these days, he is fun of impromptu, and we have given him a Father/Professor of impromptu test. Is fun, right?

Great lessons I have learned through impromptu test of a thing. It has made me prepared ahead of time not only the man's course but other courses I have offered. This has helped a lot, broadening my mind and getting to understand the course better than I do. Doing this comes with a tangible results.

Therefore, I would say my lecturer was doing me good of buckling up to my studies. He wasn't wicked giving us an impromptu test, he was trying to let us know, as students, we need to be studios at all cost.

There is this part of him that I tagged impromptu submission of Homework. He doesn't give his students a fixed day for submission of Homework. Coming to his Exams, he gives simple questions but, spelling is noted, construction of sentences is noted, misinterpretation of phrases well noted by him, if it is being done, subtraction of mark. Exams comes simple but our results or scores comes impromptu (not what we expected).

Moreover, impromptu tests have a way of helping and making people and students helpless, building hopeless thoughts in the mind of the students. It doesn't sit well if I don't recap why was taught in the classroom or read was taught in the class.
