There is power/blessing attached to saying 'I'm sorry'

Hello, welcome to another edition of hivelearners featured contest.

I classify or categorize 'I'm sorry' as one of the virtues every man should possess. It is a powerful weapon of averting anger in the heart. This attribute is what a man, a woman, children, relationship, should exhibit anywhere they find themselves.

I'm sorry is a tool for reconciliation and bond of unity. People used to be vulnerable at times, just to say 'I'm sorry' whether they are at fault or not, but proud wouldn't let them do it. Lack of this mindset can kill and scatter our lives, if care is not taken.

We are in the world, and we are humans with different characteristics, it could be annoying and fun at times.

This is how I knew that I'm sorry quench fire in the heart.

I did something wrong to my friend some time ago, he took an offense by what I said, I didn't wait for him to say, 'ah babe why did you talk to me like that'. I knew I was wrong, I picked up my phone and called him to apologize. After that process, there was a big relieved in his heart. He took me out that very day and he was very excited seeing me. Since then, I knew the power attached to saying, I'm sorry. Not only to a man but to everyone who comes your way.

In this era, some people find it difficult to admit their wrongdoings, instead they argue over and the issue keep expanding.
There was a time I found it difficult to say “I'm sorry” when I did something wrong. Even if they ask me to say, I would bluntly refuse to say “sorry”. Today i can say it any day, anytime. God has helped me grow.

Another scenario, when I was asked to serve food to a particular group of big people. I served others well, but there was this man I went to serve, and I failed to give him drinking water as I did to others, he called me after eating, that I didn't complete my assignment. I immediately looked at his table and there was no drinking water. Likewise, I tender apology(I'm sorry) and rushed to bring drinking water for him. I brought the drinking water for him, I waited to carry the empty sachet water, he asked me to sit down that he want to tell me something. I sat down humbly. He asked me where am from, my occupation, and the rest of them. He said, he never saw a humble girl like me, even upon the shout on me. Furthermore, he asked me for my account details, I gave to him. He sent #5,000 into my account, he asked me to continue in my good lifestyle. I thanked him for that, and we departed. Simply because of “I'm sorry”.

So many Marriage relationships got broken because, one could not say “I'm sorry”.
”I'm sorry” is to administer peace in the heart of a man or a woman.
