It is an essential point to all hive members both the old and the newbies to know.

The first step is to login to your hive account
If you are using PEAKD frontend,click on or select on your profile.
After the selection you will see a three dot icon,click on it,it will take you to where you will see keys and permission
click on it and it will display recovery account.
click on it and you will see where you can comfortably change your keys if you wish to

HIVE KEYS AND SECURITY
Hive has provided us with access keys for optimum security and functions,what amazes me the most is how lengthy and how long the keys are.
I was taught that hive chooses to make those keys as complex as it is because of scammers,it's for our optimum security,and uneasy access to our account by scammers.Its really okay by me,other social media platforms operates with passwords(keys)
and in hive block chain there are different keys for different purposes for effective accessibility of the account.
Here are the top 5 Keys and their functions
1) Active key: This key is used for any financial transactions,either by withdrawing money or sending money.
2) Posting key: I call it the engagement key, without it,it is impossible for hive user to be able to login, reblog, comment or follow someone on hive.
3) Owners key: It is one of the important keys for accessibility,it can be used to reset an account or to change your keys.
4) Master key: I believe the name master matches up with it capacity,this is the most important of all the keys,it can be used to recover all other keys even when you have mistakenly lost your passwords.
5)Memo key: I guess memo key is one of the less used keys, though it's still important,it can be use to send encrypted messages or to view encrypted messages and it can also be use for transaction.

-Peradventure your account active key got exposed to the general public,what are the measures you will take to safeguard your asset and account.
Naturally there's always an attack where money is being generated, there are scammers everywhere and Hive blockchain isn't an exemption.
Therefore if my account active key has been exposed to the general public here are some measures to take to safeguard my asset as I was taught.
Firstly,as a newbie when an account is opened the Hive blockchain automatically gives us a trustee account.
A trustee is someone you have to intentionally create because you may not have access to the one you were automatically given
Therefore in cases like this,i should be able to choose someone ahead of time who i can easily contact in few minutes because a trustee is someone i need to contact incase of emergency, someone i can trust.
I will transfer all my assets to my trustee even without informing him first,just to be faster than the scammers due to the emergency of the case,since my trustee is someone i can trust,i know we can sort it out later.
I'll then proceed to change my keys using my owner's key with the help of my trustee.
