It's so funny when humans thinks that AI that was developed by some set of human being is higher or better than their God given brain. The more I think about it, it gets to a point that isn't funny anymore but it's getting scary, then I ask myself; What if the chip develops faults while it's in the brain?, what if the chip damages the brain and made it worse than before?, do people think about the disadvantages of this thing before they do it?, how long can this chip last in the brain before someone run mad?😩
Actually, on the surface it sounds like a wonderful idea having a chip in my head. I can imagine never forgetting anything like what I have been taught in school, bible verses, names of people or even some moments in the past. However, when I really consider it I am not too sure I would like anyone poking around in my brain. If I told my friends that I had a memory chip inside my brain, I can already imagine the laughter and jokes they would make out of me, they would probably call me “robot girl” or "AI girl", they might even joke that Mtn or Glo network could use me as a Wifi hostpot since I now carry a chip in my head.
Although the idea of having a perfect memory sounds very attractive, I would prefer to remain as I am. Most times, humans think of the benefits or advantages of something without thinking about the disadvantages too. If a chip was a great option God would have created us with one and for God not to put it there, that means we are perfect the way we are. It's human laziness to want a machine to think for you and remind you of everything, there's a way we can train our brains and minds with the help of the Holyspirit to work better and faster than any technology put together but the thirst to always get things at a platter of gold.
Let's even talk about some of the disadvantages of this "chip" thing in the brain. During the surgical implanting of this chip thing in the brain, it can cause infections, bleeding, brain damage, brain malfunction, severe headaches, it can even affect the long-term health of the brain when the person starts aging. The cost of even doing the surgery is too expensive and what if the chip stops working, the person's brain is gone.
For me, I will say my memory may not be the best but it makes me human. It's humane to forget and remembering only what matters helps us live a more peaceful life. So if I am given the option of installing a chip in my brain, I will smile politely and say NO because God gave us memory and forgetfulness in the right measure,I think that balance is what keeps us sane in this crazy world, I should be the one controlling technology not letting it control my thinking or be in my head.
Thank you so much for staying this far, hope you had a good read with me, see you again next time 🤗
