Selling and buying is a day to day activity every human experience. It does not necessarily have to be buying food, goods or products: it could be paying for a service someone else renders, like paying for a taxi, paying to get a hair done or cut, etc. And if we are to talk about buying online, there are so many experiences from that, plus, everyone has ordered something online before and could tell if really got what they ordered for or not.
By myself and with my own money, I started buying few important things for myself when I graduated from the secondary school. One of the things I bought was a power bank, an Oraimo 20000mAh powerbank. I got the money from a guy I tutored on the bass guitar. Through a friend, I got connected to the pianist from his church (he is a wizard on piano) and he asked me to teach this guy how to play the bass from scratch. I charged them $15 for a month, aside transportation cost.
I got paid twice and kept the money till I was done teaching him and was satisfied with his understanding of the bass as a beginner. I got the powerbank for $12 from a woman who sells phone accessories in my church. I was super happy at that time I got it because my community had issues with the electricity, the step down/up transformer (whatever it is called) was faulty. It came with a very bright touch light which was helpful to my mom in her shop at night.
I felt super proud of myself, hence, I took good care of the power bank for as long as I could. I knew I used this power bank for real: it fell off my hand last year while I was rushing to the lecture hall and it got swollen and opened a little bit by the side. I kept using it for about 3 months and the it increased in size. On particular day, I charged it somewhere outside and met it in a very bad condition (I guess someone lifted it up and it fell). I was really pained and got worried about getting another one, but my good friend, @starstings01 gave me his spare powerbank.
Other things I bought and really enjoyed using was a wrist watch I ordered on AliExpress 2 years ago, a shoe I bought that got my dad jealous, 2 Tws earbuds, etc.
On the other hand, I can't think of amything I bought and did not enjoy: this is because I rarely buy online. I go physical shopping most times and I get exactly what I wanted: which is the joy of every buyer to get their want satisfied.
But I have had few experiences with my cousin when he ordered some stuffs online on AliExpress (this particular online store was more popular then). My cousin, Stephen, saw a love shaped necklace that could be divided into two, mainly for lovers. It was a gold colour and it looked attractive online (of course they always make anything look so good until you see them) My cousin was in a talking stage with a lady at that time, so he ordered it. He got his package a month later and but the necklace began to rust a month after.
He also got scammed on that same AliExpress, but this time I think my cousin was at fault. Why would you see 4 pairs of suit trousers going for just $4 and choose to buy it Olee! (theif in Yoruba) 😂😂: he waited for almoat a month and did not get his package. Well, the online store refunded him a month later after he wrote to them. But we made fun of him for a very long time.
I do not buy on impulse, I only buy when I need it or I have been wanting to buy then got the oppurtunity to buy.
