If i had the power to skip or dodge this thing they call mandatory service, I would run very far away from it and that to with over a million reasons. If only wishes were horses, this one year of service is quite mandatory, which means there’s no escaping or running away from it, it is either i serve my country or be served something unexpected in return, which makes it a do or die kinda thing…
One of the reasons why I would choose to run very far away from this mandatory service is because of my country. My country and its governments have failed me and many others in diverse ways, so give me three reasons why I should spend a whole year serving a country that has failed me and many others. This is a country that caused me nothing but misery countless times, I can’t deny the fact that this country has also presented me with so many opportunities in the past, but that doesn’t dispute the fact that it has also failed me and many others in diverse ways…
I wish i can escape this one compulsory year of service. Well, there’s nothing i can do now, other than to wish for something that can never happen. it might happen later but not anytime soon. I would only willingly render this act of service because of the people on the receiving end and not for our governments, at the end of the day i am helping my fellow citizens prosper…
The mandatory service in my country lasts for 365 days, a year to be precise. This one year is the best definition of trials and tribulations, especially to those who end up getting posted to somewhere local and dry, a place that has no stable water supply, electricity and other resources, surviving in such areas would be very difficult and expensive, I can’t imagine myself in that situation, redeploying would be my best option in that regard, which means I would have to spend to get a different primary place of assignment…
Serving in my country lasts for a year, after a year long service the next thing is passing out finally. The only interesting part of serving is the monthly upkeep money that comes from the government to the corp members, after that there’s nothing else to enjoy…
Honestly, i don’t think this one year of compulsory service is important, and that is because with or without this one year in service, the country is still where it is, it’s not reducing, same way it’s not increasing, it’s only just there at a standstill, our governments are just looking for a way to tie us down for a year, which is quite poor…
If i am to think about it in a different light, I think it is quite good to an extent. When we think about the people on the benefiting end, i think it is okay to an extent. I believe this one year of compulsory service is a practice to help humanity prevail in different areas of life…
Now i am stuck, i would ditch this one year of compulsory service if i was the only one involved, but this is no longer about me, this is about the people on the benefiting end, i think I would rather sacrifice my happiness for the people of my country, if i can help them grow in life in this one year, then so be it, they can have it…
In conclusion, after thinking about this in different directions, i have finally concluded that this one year of compulsory service is a must and a good way to go to improve the life of my fellow citizens of this country…
