Hello all friends, meet again with me @rahmatandesti hope you are all in good health, on this occasion I will take part in a very prestigious content held by the Hive Learners community that we all love so much.
The writing contest is very exciting to participate in, I am very grateful because I can join and enliven this contest. In the previous weeks many participants had shown their writing talent. I am also very enthusiastic about participating in this contest. Until the beginning of the 14th week, the contest that was held entitled "A Real Life Hero" was a very good title for us to discuss and share.
On this occasion I would like to tell you about one of the female heroes who was very tough on the battlefield in the past against the invaders, so that she became one of the most feared by the invaders at that time. He is named Cut Nyak Dien, People from our area of Aceh must know him very well.
Cut Nyak Dien is a female war fighter from Aceh, she was born in Lampadang, Aceh in 1848.
Cut Nyak Dien's life story is very painful. Even so, he was persistent in his struggle to defend the freedom of the Acehnese from the Dutch colonial rule. It is known that Cut Nyak Dien defended the people of Aceh against the Dutch along with several other heroes, namely, Panglima Polim, Teungku Cik di Tiro and his husband, Teuku Umar.
Cut Nyak Dien, participated in direct war with other fighters against the invaders. Although a woman, Cut Nyak Dien was not afraid and continued to lead the fight against the Dutch. Cut Nyak Dien, was a figure feared by the Dutch because he was able to inflame the spirit of resistance of the Acehnese people.
Cut Nyak Dien began to take up arms and fight against the Dutch in 1880. Starting when Cut Nyak Dien's husband died in the battlefield, namely Teuku Cek Ibrahim Lamnga while fighting on June 29, 1878. The death of her husband made Cut Nyak Dien very angry and swore will destroy the Netherlands.
Then in 1880, Cut Nyak Dien married Teuku Umar and invited him to fight on the battlefield. The joining of Cut Nyak Dien succeeded in increasing the morale of Aceh's struggle against the Dutch, then the war continued in a guerrilla manner.
Guerrillas to expel the Dutch from day to day made Cut Nyak Dien's physical strength decrease. So that he is no longer agile running from forest to forest. Because he never gave up, Cut Nyak Dien continued to advance in the battlefield to lead the Acehnese people even on a stretcher. His spirit rose and became more volatile even though his body was weakened.
However, the Dutch finally managed to capture and exile Cut Nyak Dien to Sumedang, West Java. In a new place, she was given the nickname as Ibu Perbhu or Queen. In Sumedang, Cut Nyak Dien taught religious studies such as the Koran until the end of his life. He died there on November 6, 1908, he became one of the National heroes and is very remembered by the people of Indonesia, especially the Aceh area because of his very brave struggle against the invaders on the battlefield.
That's my short story about a brave hero in the battlefield. Hopefully it can entertain all readers. I took this story from several reliable sources to complete my knowledge about the Cut Nyak Dien hero that I told.
