Honestly speaking, it took me a long time to differentiate between motivation and inspiration. Motivation is something which push you towards success. In fact, what we are seeing around us is just because someone got motivated to invent or make such things. I am talking about artificial things. Everyone is somehow motivated to do something and we all differ in that process and working.

Talking about myself, in my school days, a brilliant student who always take positions and in the good books of teacher. Primary schooling was outclass. I would like to share my experience. We went to Nepal when I was like 9 years of age and got admission in class 4. It was an Indian School, one of the best in Nepal. I learnt Hindi there. My Hindi teacher was the best teacher I can say that. I still remember how she motivates me by complimenting my Hindi writing, which was not so good but whenever she appreciates, I used to make words more clearly and in design shape. I got so much motivated that in free time, I used to practice writing Hindi and learnt in no time. On top of it, I got second position in Hindi writing competition which boost my moral and was motivated to experience the same again and again.

Coming back to Pakistan, in my matriculation, I did my best but was not up to the mark through which I was demotivated and I went all wrong. Didn’t tried my best and not studied well in College life.

Motivation is time sensitive and not long term. One should be self-motivated along with well-disciplined to streamline the things to do list. I feel that as one gets older and your brain and body keeps growing, many things changes the personality and perceptions of a person. In the same way, your motives keeps on changing accordingly.
Once I was so much into gym and exercise that no matter what happen, I never take leave. I just wanted to be fit not muscular. This is the other experience I would like to share: in gym, see many builders and each of them is so much motivated and working hard but all of them do not have same desire or need. I did my part with consistency and achieved the goal to be fit. Once again, it was short term.

Now, my motivation is my family. I have to work hard day and night to earn in order to fulfill basic necessities of my family. Never thought of saving neither can be done. I have seen ups and downs in my work life and corrected my mistakes. First thing is to accept your failure and second to improve it. This motivation works very well for me.
Motivation only works if you are passionate for your goal and the place you wanted. I had started my career as CSR in airline industry. I always gave my best and was appreciated by others, in fact everyone takes my help in ticketing instead of team leaders but on the other hand, I never get rewarded or incentive which was demotivate for me however, I feel satisfied with the appreciation only.
After working 2 years there, I moved to Phone Banking where I didn’t enjoy a single day of work. Too much hectic and no help from team leaders. There is no use if you cannot help customer. So, I got the opportunity in logistics.

This was the start of my favorite era, whatever I have learned in my past jobs, I utilized here. I made myself clear to be punctual, well-disciplined and focused on the work. I used to finish the work whatever they give me before deadline. I was aiming to get promotion in no time but unfortunately, company was dissolved and we were forcefully, recruited to other company with same package.

At this time, money was my motivation. I was not getting enough so my manager managed to allow me over time and some other incentive policies to recover the pain of low income. Money is the best source of motivation. This is my personal opinion because I never felt so much motivated what I felt in this company. I was punctual, smart working, handling manager’s desk along with some other projects. I was in learning process and usually do late sitting which was for my own good.

Hard work pays of: it was my time to play smart and transfer my projects to someone else and learn new things. This is the best part of motivation to make others learn your skill rather than feeling insecure. You need to trust yourself and have faith that you are on the stage to achieve anything now but do not get over-confident.
Step by step, in 5 years of hard work, now I am on the manager’s seat and my motivation is to set new targets and help my team to achieve company’s goal.
Yesterday, I was given a task by CEO which I finished in first half and shared with him. Stages of motivation just like you have levels in a game. If one level is accomplished, next one will be little harder which will definitely give you other skills and more power.
