This topic in Hive Learner Community gives me a hard time to think of things which are banned in Pakistan. Working in a logistic company, I know many things are banned and prohibited for Import and many things are banned for export but that does not relate in this topic. I kept thinking and finally I got something which I can relate to my personal experience.
Unbanning that one thing
Entertainment is the source of enjoyment and having fun but this has been controlled and made limited to the citizens of Pakistan. We all knew that Bollywood has immense popularity all over the world and being the neighbor country, Indian Movies and TV channels are very famous and we have a lot of fans of Indian actors in Pakistan. But due to political tensions between both the countries, Indian Movies and TV channels are banned and nothing can be imported in Pakistan with tag Made in India. Well, I think we should not mix up other things with politics.
If I will be having such power to unban any banned thing in Pakistan, I would definitely remove the ban from Made in India things and specially their movies to be played in cinemas and TV channels to be on air freely. I believe that people from both sides are not haters but due to some political tensions and few extremist groups, we all have to suffer. Or if we are trying to promote our channels or movies, this is not the right way to do such a thing, you need to work hard in order to make your own place and have a good competition. I see Hollywood movies playing in cinemas here but no Indian Movie allowed, why not? There are people who don’t like English movies because they don’t understand English so Indian Movies play an important role for entertainment in their lives as Hindi is same as Urdu in speaking and we do understand their comedy and action very well. So, this would be the thing which I would like to unban.
Banning the unbanned
This is my personal opinion, if I would be having such a power to ban something which people are using freely in Pakistan, that would be using of any party flag. Yes, it sounds odd but I don’t like any other flag to be used on streets or anywhere instead of our own country flag. I got inspired when I visited Istanbul. Turkey and saw their flag waving after every 1-2 kilometers. This shows the patriotism. Whereas in Pakistan, there are different flags hanging in the streets and on the roads of different parties. It should be banned and with strict compliance. Whether you are protesting or running any political event, only the country’s flag to be hoisted. Party flag should be hanged in party office only or can be used in their social media channels but not physically on the streets or in their events.
Using of such powers is not easy and today, I really make use of my brain very deeply then I would be able to think of above things to ban and unban. Thanks to Hive Learner Community for giving us this opportunity to think out of the box.
