Shopping is the most popular and common activity followed by everyone around the world. It is the basic thing, almost everyone has to do shopping in daily routine whether it is grocery, cloths or any basic necessity, you cannot run away from this word. Honestly speaking, I don’t like physical shopping since childhood, I have my reasons and then comes the era of E commerce, online shopping which made my life easier.
Physical shopping always makes me tired, you can say I feel lazy when my parents ask me to go for shopping with them. I hate roaming around in a crowded place searching for suitable accessories. Sellers always asking for higher prices and then the bargaining starts, it is time taking process. I don’t feel like bargaining for something when I don’t know the real and actual price of it. I still feel that we have bought it in a higher price, it’s all about your thinking. I don’t feel comfortable in choosing cloths standing in the shops, people pushing, or shopkeeper not dealing appropriately. Not having own conveyance is another factor, using public transport is another hectic thing for physical shopping.
Online shopping is what I prefer since it has arrived in our lives. I remember that I did my first online shopping in 2002, bought online notes for my syllabus in intermediate exams. I was being lazy to go to the institutes and search for the suitable ones so I found it easy to just order those notes online. It was my first experience and a nice one, notes were perfect and delivered to me the very next day with cash on delivery service. It saved my time and energy plus the delivery charges were less than that conveyance cost which would be applied if I go there by myself. This was just the start and after that, I just loved online shopping.
One by one, I saw many popular shops introducing their web stores and there are many other home based online stores as well. This technology just made my life easier and I do like enjoying window online shopping. Yes, it is true that online stores gives you an idea about new arrivals, new gadgets, and different variety and especially about their prices. It is of the same price selling in their physical shops. Just like you need to check every shop in physical shopping, you just have to check the reviews in online shopping in order to avoid scammers. This is the most important thing to be followed in online shopping.
I have a vast experience of online shopping. It was not always perfect. Sometimes, wrong items were sent or damage items are received but they have a refund policy which is very easy to follow. However, comparing that with physical shopping, refund or exchange policy is not guaranteed if you find anything unusual at home after buying it from some specific shop. I do agree that both ways, there are some advantages and disadvantages but online shopping is more suitable and comfortable for me.
I remember that in early 2000, my parents used to do physical shopping for my brother’s family in Sweden and then courier them the gifts whereas now, you just choose the gift on the screen and it gets delivered wherever you want it, it saved a lot of time and money both. I am always looking for the deals and promotions online and help others to buy things online, it makes me feel happy.
Online shopping helped me in my most precious times, at the time of Covid when all shops were closed and I was going to have my first son entering this world. I ordered almost everything online and it got delivered timely however, few of them have to return due to wrong items dispatched but still I found it helpful and thanked them to fulfill my needs in those crucial times.
In my opinion, online shopping is cheaper and cost effective, gives detail information and reviews about any product to get satisfied before purchasing any item. Also provide excellent after sales service and help in exchange or refund policy. Cheers!!!
