It's really exciting to see the development and enhancement that has come as a result of the emergence of social media. How businesses, companies, organisations and individuals have grown through its use in reaching out to & engaging with people anywhere in the world, marketing of goods & services and building long lasting relationships.

In spite of all its great benefits, a lot of relationships have taken a downward roll because of it.
To begin with most people on social media for example KingsChat, Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, WhatsApp and the likes live fake lives. They are obsessed with the cliché fake it till you make it and do everything possible to appear good, rich and trustworthy just to gain people's acceptance and trust on social media especially when it comes to relationships.
I would like to outline two points on this:
- First, people have become friends with murderers and scammers on social media thinking they were honest people and evwn went in to court or get married to them but have lived to regret it, some didn't even have the chance to live again because of the ill outcome of it.

- Secondly, good and healthy relationships have been thwarted because a lot of people have given up their thinking faculties to social media. They let it think for them and change their perspectives from their own beliefs. What is held in high regard in our society, have gradually been trampled upon because in social media, it isn't trending or people there have undervalued or devalued them.

For example, some ladies who are immodestly dressed are awarded The most beautiful and the popular slay queens where as the modestly dressed ones are termed Holy Mary or old fashioned
We have also seen how that some ladies who have been graced with honest and hardworking men as husbands but are not so financially buoyant have been blinded by the seemingly idea of how ideal men should be on social media as having expensive cars, dressed in expensive clothes, with a lot of luxury and so on which could cause them to go after those "big guys" without knowing the source of their wealth and having regrets later on in life.
In my opinion, social media is a great blessing but has been weaponised by people with ulterior motives that use them.
