Each person has their own ideal body that they want to achieved for various reasons like the pursuit of beauty and health or to be attractive to opposite sex. Some wants to gain weight so they would look proportional to their height while others wants to reduce their weight because they turn fat and it becomes a health concern and to achieved this, they undergo various methods such as exercise, different types of diet or using food supplements and undergoing undergoing surgeries.
As for me, I do not really have a problem with my weight when I look at it the beginning of this year being it at 75 kilograms in proportion to my height which is 174 centimeters that based on this BMI Calculator that I'm still within the normal weight bracket with a body mass index of 24.8 but my concern was the amount of body fat that I have gained trough years. Although I am not obese, I sometimes still find it a little bit restrictive to move specially on the belly part at times due to the clothes I wear are always body fit. Some may say that I could just buy a slightly bigger clothes but that would be a waste of resources when those clothes I already have are something that I could still use for a long time. It will also be just a band-aid solution to the problem if I would just buy new clothes wherever the one I currently wearing gets a little bit tight on me not to mention the increasing health concern if I continue to gain weight. So rather than my clothes adjusting to me, I will be the one to adjust on my clothes and thus the beginning of my weigh lost journey.
My Weigh Lost Journey
As I realized that I was gaining weight and clothes are becoming tighter for me, the first thing I do is to check my diet and figured out that there's no problem at all with what I eat specially at home since my mom cook meals with nutritional value of the food in consideration and it all comes to what I eat when I was out for work to have a good diet so I avoid eating on fast food restaurants and eat on restaurants with more varieties of food to eat. I also drink a lot of alcohol before in order to socialize with my work colleagues and friends which could be the main culprit for my for my belly fat but starting this year, I also significantly reduced the times I drink though shutting it completely down might be an impossibility specially if my boss is the one who makes the call 😅.
Another thing I did to reduce weight was to go to gym which I have started by mid- January of this year. I do not consider it before since the nearest gym within my vicinity takes at least 30 minutes of travel but I think it' around September of 2022 when my friend Ronnie, has informed me that a gym has opened less than 5 minutes from where I live and he's been going there since then but still took me until January before I joined him. The first months was a hell for me with all of my muscles are aching to the point that I can't even remove my shirt but I still continue with my gym workout, going there 2-3 times a week and though the pain won't really go away completely as working out was putting stress on my muscles and will consume more calories in turn but this also allow me to sleep easier at night.

And now, back to the present, I now weigh 71 Kilograms with a BMI of 23.5. Compared to others, it might be a completely slow progress on me but the goal was not really to lose a large amount of weight but to turn fats into muscles and made it to the point that I am comfortable with the clothes that I have which I already achieved to the point that my pants were lose and I need to wear belt but this way, I won't need to buy clothes. Not only that, I also feel way lighter when I move and I think that it has also help me to relive some of my stress as I got to focus my attention into working out. Despite that, its still just the beginning for me and will continue this routine to keep my self healthy.
And that was it for my post. I hope that reading this will help to motivate you with your body goals. Thank you and see you on my next post!
