History is the man's window in order to view the events that took place in the past. It enables people to learn how the people of the past live their lives, their culture and tradition, the conflicts and tragedies that they have to go through and the achievements they accomplish that bridge the way on how we people of the present time will live our lives. Supposed that I have the opportunity to personally witness a historical event, the first thing that comes into my mind will be the first time that man were able to walk into the moon. As someone who once dreamed of becoming an Astronaut to reach the unknown universe which I explained on this post.
First Maned Moon Landing
This specific part of the history took place on July 20, 1969 when the Apollo 11 spacecraft land to the moon. carrying the American astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin working for NASA. For hours, they explored the surface of the moon and collected moon specimens which they brought back to Earth for study. They have also planted the American to leave their mark as the first nation that was able to safely sent people on the moon. The event was broadcasted on live TV and was watched by hundreds of people all over the world. After their safe return from Earth, their achievements were celebrated by many people with parades and the Astronauts has been the cover of different magazines, signifying how big of an event it is in the human history.

A Giant Leap for Mankind's History
The first maned moon landing mission might be brief but it has spent years and year of development by thousands of the brightest and most passionate people of that time just in order to make a ship that could safely carry people on the moon and has cost millions if not billions of money. They have experience many failures but they still continue towards their goal and finally people were able to see the fruits of their hard work and although it was a short mission, it gives one giant leap for mankind. Because of the success of this mission, many other maned mission has been initiated which has brought a lot of samples which upon study, was discovered to have different types of elements that can be used as materials for different industry and important to host life which more importantly opens the possibility that one of this days, mankind will be able to relocate to the moon. Past forward to the present, plans for maned exploration on mars are on the table but that was only possible because we were able to send people to the moon.
If by any means, this mission has failed, it could push back our space for years if not decades with the worst case of the pilots facing their demise in the outer space. Perhaps we would never attempt to send people into the moon if this has becomes a failure. That was how great of an impact this event to our history.
Lessons to Be Learned
As someone that has once dreamed to be an astronaut, this part of the history holds an special place in my heart and what has allowed me to hold on my dreams for a long time but it also has some lessons to learn.
Many people gave up right away after just doing a task for the first time or it takes to long to finish so the Perseverance and Dedication that they show despite the continued failures that they experience is a good example for us to follow.
Sometimes, fear has overcome us as we entered a new environment or face with a thing that is completely unknown so looking astronauts as they explore the moon which is a complete new and unknown environment for them should inspire us to to have Courage and be Inquisitive.
More importantly, this event can be the Inspiration that people need in order to strive towards achieving our goals in life.
History is a mixture of good and tragic events that took place in the past. We may not be able to change what happened during those times but we can study them so that we can learn from the mistakes and to follow through with the achievements of the past in order to build a better society for the present and the future.
