Listening to our parents is often good advice, if someone asked me what would be the best tip I could share. In addition to having years of experience, giving them experience about many things and situations, in most families, I believe that a father and a mother wish their children only the best, even if that sometimes means that they have to be firm and say no at certain times.
From what I remember of my childhood and adolescence, I always listened to my mother, in my case it was only her that I had and had to listen to, because my father divorced my mother when I was around 4 or 5 years old, I don't even remember more to tell the truth. So, I was always respectful towards her and from an early age, even though at times I didn't understand, I always listened to her, as she is a good person, experienced in life and who certainly loves her son (in this case I).
With that, I want to share two things that happened to me, in relation to what she told me, which in the end really showed that she knew what was going on with a vision that I didn't have at the time and another that she thought would be something bad, but actually, it was good. Therefore, I will explain to you these two remarkable moments.
When my mother helped me with my future.
When I was a teenager, entering adulthood, I can say that my ideas were not the most correct for what I wanted in life. As I didn't have the life experience to understand certain things well, there were actually two moments in which she helped me decide my future, giving me tips and opening my eyes in relation to what I imagined as a professional career.
The first time was when I was around 12 or 13 years old and I was very passionate about football, even though I was already labeled a “nerd” and got good grades at school, I was excited about the idea of being a football player. That's exactly what you read, I was dying to try something in the future with this industry and I'm not even a good player, I've never been real. So, she always talked to me about this, that I was young, that I didn't have the vision of the future yet to understand that this wouldn't work.
Over the years, I discovered my vocation in programming, computers and technologies and I saw that this was really the professional field I wanted. Well, then came the second time she told me that something wouldn't work and explained it to me and helped me understand things again. Here in Brazil, when the big wave of content creators started and the YouTube and Twitch platforms exploded with everything, I went crazy again and wanted to abandon everything and pursue a career in this.
SourceAnyone who knows me closely, here at Hive or some of my closest friends, knows how much I wanted to be a gaming content creator on these platforms, but to give up everything? Leave everything behind for a dream very different from this? I know that many do this and I even agree that if you want something, you really have to go after it, but there are many variables in this, many, and those were the variables that my mother showed me.
After talking to me many times and showing me the positive and negative points, I was able to realize that actually entering this world would not be for me, even due to flaws that have existed in me for as long as I can remember, such as shyness, laziness, being clumsy. to record videos and things like that. Well, I can only thank her, after all, after so many years with the dream saved, I was able to resurrect it and guess who did it? THE HIVE!
When my mother thought she was right, but she wasn't.
In this event, I'm not sure how old I was at the time, but I remember that when I was in the first year of high school, arriving at the end of June (holidays were in July), the people in the room were organizing a party, there was a classmate who had a farm or something like that, in short, a place suitable for parties and everyone was excited to go, with practically the entire room confirming their presence.
This is a time when we are discovering everything, be it relationships, friendships, fun, starting to leave the house a little more without the need for parents, so it was important for me to go to this party, which was a good opportunity to join in more, remembering that I was part of the intellectual crowd, the famous “nerds”, don’t forget that, so this party was something very important.
Unfortunately I didn't go, because my mother didn't let me go, as I didn't work at that time, I was totally dependent on her for everything, even for bus money, not to mention that she said a lot of things to me, that it would be dangerous, that there would be a lot of drugs and drinks and a lot of other things, the standard for a father or mother worried about their child.
SourceAfter the night it happened, seeing photos or talking to people when I got back from vacation, I learned that everything had been super normal and fun, at most a few alcoholic drinks, but no one felt bad or did anything bad because of it. I was upset at the time, I remember I was indignant about not going and in addition to being known as a nerd, now I was the “guy who didn't go”, generating a few more jokes about it.
Today, as I am a father, I better understand the fear and concern she had with me because of that party, although it would have had a lot of fun and perhaps improved my self-esteem a little, I know she didn't do it out of spite, so I understand the reasons. of my mother's actions.
Well, that's it, they were moments that marked my life and that I carry with me to this day, whatever happened, whether it was right or not, I thank my mother for helping me get to where I am and achieve what I achieved.

Ouvir nossos pais costuma ser um bom conselho, se alguém me perguntasse qual seria a melhor dica que eu pudesse compartilhar. Além de terem a vivência de anos, dando a eles experiencia sobre muitas coisas e situações, na maioria das famílias, acredito que um pai e uma mãe deseja aos seus filhos somente o bem, mesmo que isso às vezes queira dizer que eles têm que ser firmes e dizer não em certos momentos.
Pelo que me lembro de minha infância e adolescência, sempre fui de escutar a minha mãe, no meu caso é apenas ela que tenho e tive a escutar, porque meu pai se divorciou de minha mãe quando eu tinha uns 4 ou 5 anos, nem lembro mais para falar a verdade. Então, sempre fui respeitoso com ela e desde cedo, apesar de que em alguns momentos eu não entendesse, sempre fui de dar ouvidos a ela, pois ela é uma pessoa boa, experiente na vida e que com certeza ama o seu filho (no caso eu).
Com isso, quero compartilhar duas coisas que aconteceram comigo, em relação ao que ela me dizia, que no fim realmente mostrou que ela sabia o que estava acontecendo com uma visão que eu não tinha na época e outra na qual ela pensou que seria algo ruim, mas, na verdade, foi bom. Sendo assim, explicarei para vocês estes dois momentos marcantes.
Quando minha mãe me ajudou com o meu futuro.
Quando era um adolescente, entrando na fase adulta, posso dizer que minhas ideias não era das mais corretas para o que eu queria na vida. Como não tinha a experiência de vida para entender bem certas coisas, houve, na verdade, dois momentos em que ela me ajudou a decidir o meu futuro, me dando dicas e me fazendo abrir os olhos em relação ao que eu imaginava como uma carreira profissional.
A primeira vez foi quando eu tinha por volta de 12 ou 13 anos e era muito apaixonado por futebol, mesmo sendo já rotulado de “nerd” e tirando notas boas na escola, eu estava invocado com a ideia de ser um jogador de futebol. Isso mesmo que você leu, estava maluco para tentar algo no futuro com esse ramo e olha que nem sou bom jogador, nunca fui na real. Então, ela sempre conversava comigo sobre isso, que eu era novo, que não tinha a visão de futuro ainda para entender que isso não daria certo.
Com o passar dos anos, descobri a minha vocação para com a programação, computadores e tecnologias e vi que realmente este era o ramo profissional que queria. Pois bem, então veio a segunda vez em que ela me disse que algo não daria certo e me explicou e me ajudou a entender novamente as coisas. Aqui no Brasil, quando começou a grande onda de criadores de conteúdo e as plataformas do YouTube e Twitch explodiram com tudo, eu fiquei novamente maluco e queria abandonar tudo e seguir carreira nisso.
FonteQuem me conhece de perto, aqui na Hive ou alguns amigos mais próximos, sabem o tanto que desejava ser um criador de conteúdo de jogos nestas plataformas, mas, largar tudo? Deixar tudo para trás por um sonho bem diferente desse? Sei que muitos fazem isso e até concordo que se você quer algo, tem que correr atrás mesmo, mas, existem muitas variáveis em cima disso, muitas mesmo e foram essas variáveis que a minha mãe me mostrou.
Após conversar muitas vezes comigo e me mostrar os pontos positivos e negativos, eu pude perceber que realmente entrar neste mundo não seria para mim, até mesmo por falhas que já existem em mim desde que me lembro por pessoa, como timidez, preguiça, sou desajeito para gravar vídeos e coisas do tipo. Bem, só posso agradecer a ela, afinal, depois de tantos anos com o sonho guardado, pude ressuscitá-lo e adivinhem quem fez isso? A HIVE!
Quando minha mãe achou que estava certa, mas não estava.
Neste acontecimento, não tenho certeza da minha idade na época, mas lembro que quando estava no primeiro ano do segundo grau (ensino médio), chegando no final de junho (as férias eram em julho) o pessoal da sala estava organizando uma festa, tinha uma colega de classe que tinha uma chácara ou algo assim, enfim, um lugar propicio para festas e todo mundo ficou animado para ir, com praticamente a sala toda confirmando presença.
Essa época é aquela em que estamos descobrindo de tudo, seja relacionamentos, amizades, curtição, começando a sair um pouco mais de casa sem a necessidade dos pais, então era importante para mim ir nessa festa, que era uma boa oportunidade de enturmar mais, lembrando que eu era da galera intelectual, os famosos “nerds”, não se esqueçam disso, por isso, essa festa era algo muito importante.
Infelizmente não fui, porque minha mãe não deixou eu ir, como não trabalhava nesse tempo, era totalmente dependente dela para tudo, até mesmo para o dinheiro do ônibus, sem contar que ela falou muitas coisas para mim, que seria perigoso, que teria muitas drogas e bebidas e mais um monte de coisa, o padrão para um pai ou uma mãe preocupada com o seu filho.
FonteDepois da noite em que aconteceu, vendo por fotos ou conversando com o pessoal na volta das férias, fiquei sabendo que tinha sido tudo super normal e divertido, no máximo algumas bebidas alcoólicas, mas ninguém ficou ruim ou fez algo ruim por conta disso. Fiquei chateado na época, eu lembro que fiquei indignado por não ir e além de ser conhecido como nerd, agora eu era o “cara que não foi”, gerando mais algumas piadas sobre isso.
Hoje, como sou pai, entendo melhor o medo e a preocupação que ela teve comigo por conta daquela festa, apesar de que teria me divertido muito e talvez melhorado um pouco a minha autoestima, sei que ela não fez por maldade, então compreendo os motivos das ações da minha mãe.
Bem, é isso, foram momentos que marcaram a minha vida e que carrego comigo até hoje, seja o que deu, certou ou não, agradeço a minha mãe por me ajudar a chegar onde cheguei e conquistar o que conquistei.
