Social networks are powerful for many things, whether for good or for bad, we know how they can influence people's lives and an entire society. Their reach is truly sensational, with that, even our daily lives, our actions and attitudes, can “go viral” as they say. Of course, the smart ones use this to make money, and the slow ones, who think they are amazing and sovereign, end up making jokes that can go very wrong, and when this goes viral in this negative sense, something common starts to happen: apology and retraction videos.
To me, this is a mix between nonsense and an attempt to attract more attention. I am the type of person who lives life thinking about every detail, trying to be as calm and responsible as possible. In other words, I don't like to make mistakes and I do everything I can to avoid making mistakes, whether in life or with people. I try to do things that way. A person who needs to record an apology video is usually because they did something without thinking or, worst of all, they really thought and planned to do something, to attract attention, but it ended up going wrong and the result was super negative.
So, if the mistake is kind of planned, is it valid for them to just say "sorry" in a video and that's it, that's it? I don't think so! If what she did was something that could be considered a crime, she has to answer for it. If what she did is worthy of compensation, she has to pay for it. That's how it has to work. In addition to just making a video, she needs to show that in the following days, that she is truly sorry and that, with that, she will have to do twice as much to gain people's trust. I think that just one video is not enough to apologize.
UnsplashThat way, maybe it would be cool for her, instead of disappearing from her social media and Lives, to continue appearing, showing that she accepted the mistake and that she was humble enough to admit and correct it. So, I think that her attitude and demonstration of this in her daily life is the best thing she can do to make people think that she is really trying to change her attitude and correct her mistakes. Another point is that we can't trivialize this, making mistakes all the time and then making an apology video. I don't think it can always be like that.
This is even how I raise my children. When they make a mistake or do something I don't like, I talk to them and explain what they did that I didn't like. They understand this and apologize to me. But I also always tell them that we can't normalize the "I apologize"; we need to improve things. In other words, apologizing for your mistake is really nice, but we can't do it all the time. We can't act and make mistakes all the time and then everything will be fine because I'll apologize. It can't be like that.
What I always say is that if we make a mistake, we should learn from it and not let it happen again. We should make an effort to do so. Apologizing all the time, whether at home, at work or in apology videos, is fine if done once or twice at most, but now, if it becomes a routine, this act of apologizing loses its weight and becomes just empty words. I think we all know a good saying about this: “To err is human, but to remain in error is stupid!”

Seu alcance é realmente sensacional, com isso, até mesmo nosso cotidiano, nossas ações e atitudes, podem “viralizar” como dizem. Claro que os espertos usam isso para ganhar dinheiro e os lerdos, que se acham incríveis e soberanos, acabam por fazer gracinhas que podem dar muito errado e quando isso viraliza para esse sentido negativo, algo comum começa a acontecer: os vídeos de desculpa e retratações.
Isso para mim é algo misto entre besteira e tentativa de chamar mais atenção. Sou do tipo que vive a vida pensando em cada detalhe, tentando ter o máximo de calma e responsabilidade possível, ou seja, eu não gosto de errar e faço de tudo para não errar, seja na vida ou com as pessoas, tento fazer as coisas dessa forma. Uma pessoa que precisa gravar um vídeo de desculpas geralmente é porque ela fez algo sem pensar ou, o pior de tudo, ela realmente pensou e planejou fazer algo, para chamar a atenção, mas acabou por dar errado e o resultado super negativo.
Então, se o erro é meio que planejado, é valido ela somente falar “desculpe” em um vídeo e pronto, acabou? Acho que não! Se o que ela fez foi algo que cabe ser taxado como crime, ela tem que responder com isso, se o que ela fez é cabível de indenização, que ela pague, é assim que tem que funcionar. Além de somente fazer um vídeo, ela precisa demonstrar isso nos dias seguintes, que realmente está arrependida e que, com isso, ela terá que fazer duas vezes mais para conseguir conquistar a confiança das pessoas. Penso que somente um vídeo é pouco para se desculpar.
UnsplashDessa forma, talvez seja legal ela, no lugar de sumir de suas redes sociais e Lives, continuar aparecendo, mostrando que aceitou o erro e que foi humilde o suficiente para assumir e corrigir este erro. Então, acho que a atitude e a demonstração disso no cotidiano é o melhor que ela pode fazer para as pessoas pensarem isso dela, que ela realmente está tentando mudar sua postura e corrigir seus erros. Outro ponto é que não se pode banalizar isso, de errar o tempo todo e depois fazer um vídeo de desculpas, acho que não pode ser sempre assim.
Isso é até como educo meus filhos. Quando eles erram ou fazem algo que não gosto converso com eles e explico o que foi feito que não gostei, eles entendem isso, me pedem desculpas, mas também sempre falo que não podemos normalizar o “peço desculpas”, é preciso melhorar as coisas, ou seja, pedir desculpas por seu erro é bem legal, mas que não pode levar isso a todo momento, não podemos agir e errar o tempo todo e depois tudo vai ficar legal porque vou pedir desculpas, não pode ser assim.
O que sempre falo é que, se erramos, devemos aprender com este erro e assim não deixar acontecer novamente, nos esforçarmos para isso. Pedir desculpas o tempo todo, seja em casa, no seu trabalho ou em vídeos de retratações, é bem legal se feito uma ou duas vezes no máximo, mas agora, se isso se torna uma rotina, este ato de se desculpar perde o seu peso e se torna somente palavras vazias. Acho que todos nós já conhecemos um bom ditado sobre isso: “errar é humano, mas permanecer no erro é burrice!”.
