Today some people will get to know some secret about me hehehe, how I've been living a low key life and how I've been trying to minimize how much I spend, anyways it's okay and I'm happy to share with you guys.
Alright lets get started, even though I don't know how to cook that much and I also don't like cooking, yet I prefer eating at home maybe the food I prepare myself or the one from anyone in the family than eating outside, it's not my thing to eat outside be it a small or big restaurant. I only eat outside once in a while maybe when I want to give myself a special treat.
Talking about the cheapest food I've ever eaten, I would have said it's garri (cassava flakes) I don't know why I'm so much addicted to that thing lols, there was a time I can't do without drinking it in a day, even when I just finish eating a very delicious meal just give me few hours, you'll see me with my cup of garri again lols... though I'm adjusting now, I don't take it as before, so I would have said it's my cheapest meal but whenever I drink it now, it's quite expensive lols because I must use milk and groundnut and then I don't really really see it as food though it's for some people.
Instead of talking about garri as the cheapest food I've eaten I would rather say it's noodles. Two noodles with one egg is around 500 to 600 naira. That's relatively cheap, compared to if one wants to get the already cooked one. The last time I ate noodles outside was when I was in camp during my national youth service, five years ago, I think it was around 500 naira, two noodles and egg but now, I'm sure it will be times three of that amount due to the h increase in price of virtually everything.
On the other hand the most expensive food I've ever tasted was fried rice, salad, plantain, chicken and with a very chilled five alive juice... even though I do eat it at home some times but this time I took myself out on a special date, just me alone... sometimes it happens like that, I will just feel like giving myself a special treat, there's a saying that goes thus; a child that's diligent in his work should also have time to relax or enjoy him or herself.
Moreso, life is too short for one not to take good care of oneself.
So that very day, I went to chicken republic, ordered for the food listed above, when I was going home I also got some take away for my siblings, so they could also enjoy the moment with me, that day I spent around ten thousand naira in total. It was not a big deal for me because I knew I really need it, and then, if I don't take care of myself, no one will do it for me, so it's best I give myself the special treat.
One of this days, I'm planning to have another treat, but this time with the love of my life, I didn't really enjoy the last one I had because it was just me alone, so I want to make it more fun this time around, I believe it's good to share happy moments with loved ones.
