Everyone has the right to freedom of speech, we have the right to share our opinion and ideas about something but then that doesn't give us the privilege to just alter words anyhow without thinking of it's impact to the society.
Many times when I'm on social media and I see people talk anyhoe and just publicize anyhow content, I shake my head. Many are clout chasers, they are only looking for attention and recognition, so they don't care what it takes, they just want that attention.
In my country we have many content creators and influencers, some of this people although not all, can do anything just to get up there. I won't mention names but anyone that's conversant with using tiktok, Instagram and X (formerly twitter) will have seen some of these people online.
There's a case of a popular influencer that's trending at the moment, she went for an interview and she was asked few questions which I personally disagree with most of her response. We all have different upbringing though but still even if one is not brought up well, you can still train yourself in the right way. I guess her mentality is just too low, she said she would start billing a man, that's ask money from man that ask her out right from the first day, it sounds very awkward to me. Why will you start asking a man you just met for money, that's not even up to twenty four hours already, Although she has her reason, in her words she said that's how she will know if the man is capable of taking care of her or not. But I guess it's not actually true, because most guys, when they meet a lady like that, since they know what you want is just money, the won't take you serious, maybe the man even has a mind of marrying the lady, with that approach, the man will definitely adjust.
To make matters worse, one of the interviewer respond to her answer by saying if a man knows all what you want is money, he can go any length just to get in between your legs, and she replied that as long as the man can give her a hug some of money like 20 million naira, she's ready to spread her legs for the man. With this kind of mentality and then coming out to say something like this in public, it will definitely have a negative effect on the society because some people will think she's right and start coping her ways.
The lady mentioned so many things that ought not to be said, but then some people because of what she said went ahead to report her account, now her account has been banned on tiktok. Left to me, I think they shouldn't have gone that far, some people even went ahead to start insulting and abusing her online. Whereas, I think what she needs is counseling, correction, someone needs to give her the right orientation about life, they need to call her to order and not start bullying her.
On the other hand, I think this will still help correct her and others with such mentality to some extent, because the way alot of people are against her is just too much. I guess with this, she will learn her lesson even though I'm not in support of how she's being corrected. I just hope what's happening to her presently won't ruin her career because her career is at stake already.
