There use to be a time that I love traveling, but when it got to a time that insecurity has increased seriously, I need to reduce my likeness and love for traveling. Kidnappers and bandits had taken over our roads, one needs to be very careful and prayerful as well while going on a journey.
I've had some crazy moments with some driver's in the past but there's one that's actually outstanding and frustrating which I can never forget. I was traveling back to my place of work one faithful day, so I board the car of our regular driver, yeah I call him our regular driver because it's really hard to get a straight vehicle going to the place from Ilorin, so what we usually do is to tell the man beforehand that we're going to move with him and give him the date we wish to travel.
That's how good and bad it's, so getting a direct transportation to the place is not really easy.
Okay so this faithful day I call the man and we fixed the date for our travel. I met him that day and he said he just fixed his car, meaning we will enjoy our journey and there would be no cause for alarm.

Well at first, it seems he was sure of himself not until the car started showing it's real identity.
On our way going, the vehicle started developing faults and regards to that, the driver came down as if he had knew what the car wanted, he brought out a bottle water and pour it inside the coolant reservoir, I think that was what the car needs for real, because after that the car starts moving again.
It got to a point in the middle of nowhere, inside a very thick bush that the car just stopped. Unfortunately there was just a little water left in the car, we have to search around for water luckily for us we found a small river nearby, we get the water we could get from there, pour inside the appropriate place, with this the car starts working again and we continued our journey. At this point everyone in the car starts complaining, but the man also won't stop begging us.
Just a few minute drive again the car break down again but this time around, water couldn't solve the problem, we were lucky enough to see a road side mechanic, we waited for more than one hour before the car could be fixed and the we started the journey again, to our greatest surprise again, after 20 minutes drive the broke down again but this time, it broke down completely that we couldn't do anything about it again, the driver just have to find another car for us that would take us to our destinations.
The journey was the most craziest car journey I've ever experienced, the journey should be maximum of three hours but unfortunately due to the car issues, we spent more than seven hours. On getting home I was so tired like someone who has been inside the hot sun since morning carrying and moulding bricks. I couldn't even try to cook, I just took my bathe and then got myself a fast food, after then I sleep off till the next day.
Since that day I've been avoiding that particular driver, because I don't want to have such ugly experience again.
Traveling can be really interesting when everything is going on smoothly and can be the other way round if the car starts having faults.
