Yesterday I complained about how unproductive I have been because of lack of electricity and how my generator technician had been full of disappointment, keeping me on hold with how urgent I needed the generator to be working fine.
The second generator mechanic that I contacted came around today and was able to work on it. We spent about an hour on the generator before he finally found what was wrong with the generator. It seemed that there was an issue with the generator valve which caused it not to start. He brought it out so that he could clean it with petrol.
After cleaning the valve, the putting the generator back together, the generator came up and functioned perfectly. I was so happy because I knew what it meant to me; an end to the feeling of being unproductive.
With the generator working fine, I was able to finish a stage in my project which was the aspect of soldering the ESCs, I actually had help from a friend who has more experience soldering to assist me with it: I didn't have a soldering iron and he did. Since there was electricity now, we could finish up that aspect today.
After finishing up with this, I figured I didn't order a XT60 female cable for my project which is needed to connect the drone to the battery. I will have to make an order for it on AliExpress.
This project has been with me for way too long and I just want to get done with it before Exams or it will become more difficult to finish it in time and also have to prepare for final defense afterwards. Hopefully when I get these items delivered in two weeks from AliExpress, I will be able to completely finish up with the project.
