A day well spent in life is always memorable. And when we have limited time to recollect all the memories we must make most of the time. As I am spending time in New Delhi city, I am making most of it by visiting some old place, spenfing time with friends and getting little bit nostalgic in between. Yesterday , it was sort of everything. It has People, places , Friends and street food. It was also a day of many learnings and recollevting some old memories. But at the end, it was a day well spent.

Many people often do not like to talk about their yesterday (past), as they might end up dwelling with many things but for me remembering yesterdays is all about recounting on past experiences to make better future. I began the day, early in the day, by travelling to my friends place. We were schedule for some business meeting. Instead of booking cab, I preferred to travel through the public transport. It was good to see how things are developing at rapid pace in the city. Where I was heading used to be a deserted place, but now developed into a small township. My friends resides in there and I was visiting him first time. The presence of public transport upto that place, ensures the development of that area. It does not took me long enough to enter into the area, with many high rises, offices, residential building and commercial complete.
Curse of urbanisation
Last time, I visited this place was in 2014. In a period of 10 years approx, the area has seen a tremendous growth. 10 years ago, this area was deserted and isolated and only farming lands all over the place. It was the bigining of the urbanisation at this place. The rapid development and influx of more people into the city, made it to expand. And this is the result I am witnessing. Last time I came to this place was for investment purposes, but never thought, it will transform into a mini town within the city. I cancelled my booking that time, seeing it so undeveloped. However The barren farming lands were taken over high rises, traffic and vehicles. It was a notable transformation and I missed out on encasing a good deal on real estate investment. In 10 years the price of the residential flats gave 10 folds return. One who invested at that time is now a Millionaireof their own with their property value.
But I do not regretting, seeing the vast urbanization in the area. All the open spaces and fields were converted into concrete jungle. The private builders made most of the oppurtunity in setting up such townships and selling their different projects. This also indicates how population is increasing at rapid pace. While many see it as development, but for me it is more of creating natural imbalances. Such urbanisation also results in depletion of ground water level. With all these dwell in my mind, we went ahead with our schedule. It was lovely meeting my friends and his family.
Getting Nostalgic
After winding up with the business meeting, we went ahead for a city tour. Me and my friends have a matching taste for foods. And always enjoyed different street foods. From sarijni Nagar pakode *(fritters) shops to chanakya Puri bun *(bread)& toast and tea. We explored everything. Remembering, all those good moments, we ended ourself in a small cart shops for some kulchey Naan & parathe.
Served in piece of news paper, You can't expect them it to be a good option but our past endevour made us to try this out. We ordered a plate to share. This food has been local lifeline. Many people spend their days eating them, on these stalls found at every corner of the city roads. And we were standing in one of them, for some nostalgic taste.
We tasted them in restaurants but never had them from these stalls. Though it was little bit on spicy sides. And may consider unhygienic. But being foodies let us to explore these stalls. Afterall they are city lifeline.
Mindful engagement
I winded up the days,on #Hive through posting and engaging to different users. It is always satifying things to keep the users entertain. Engagement is the root for a healthy ecosystem, and being a member of various communities, we must contribute in every possible ways.
Overall, it was entertaining and productive days. Everything planned was executed very well. Though my stay in New Delhi is coming to an ends, but Looking forward for such days ahead.
