The era we are in now I will say is one that is so fascinating seeing how things are moving with change, and this change is one many of us love because the era is one that had a good flow. Although many might not agree with me due to how change is also affecting many things and living many people behind.
Technology and artificial intelligence are both things that are replacing people”s skills and jobs which is why we are beginning to have obsolescence in many areas of occupation. This is making this era one where many jobs will be abandoned by many while many who will cope with the trends of technology and Artificial intelligence will definitely move faster to avoid redundancy made possible by machines and robots 🤖.
Looking at this trend and pace, we are all seeing how we must be smart and make sure to follow the changes that this era and age is making. Especially for the younger generation and the youths who has more to do with this recent change of AI and Technology world 🌎
Therefore considering how things are going, students should try to avoid some courses which they know will not have or provide job opportunities for them once they are out of the universities or even while studying 📚 because many who are in colleges now work part time jobs to support themselves. And many who are not in line with trend , and have refused to evolve with trends are the ones that will obviously be left out.
For me I feel like we must not go with whatever curriculum some of the universities are having because many of the universities have refused to change their curriculums even while seeing how things are changing. Some courses are so obsolete but are still left in the curriculum, and most times students are forced to study 📚 them because they might not have met their cut-off mark.
In my country , these course are not for this era and future generations:
Agricultural Science:
This field of course is centered on how crops are grown. Basically from the trilling of the land and cultivating crops, and until the harvesting period. This very line of study is becoming obsolete as technology is improving cultivation with machines which is more advanced and soon can lead to the production of foodstuffs in the laboratory 🧪. This area of study can be changed into food technology/ Laboratories management because these are the ones that can go with change.
Receptionist:
This skill is a job that can be carried out by any one who has gone to the university since it involves just attending to telephone 📞 calls and visitors , but as time began to change, many who are employed in this area of services are having hard times since the now era service needs those who do this job to be technologically aware. This services called Front Desk Personal now needs you to have studied any course related to Computer 💻 Science.
Marketing:
Many who have the flea for customers service are the ones enjoying this area of course study when technology world 🌎 has not taking over. Companies then wants to employ as many marketers to go into the fields with awareness of every of their products. And this however allows many sales of product and boom. But as the era of technology arrived, many have lost their jobs in this area due to how advertisements is every where through the social media. I can easily order anything I want right from the inside of my apartment.
This line of course study can be replaced by digital marketing which involves all round of technology awareness, which is the only thing that can attract people through online.
