The rich certainly pay 💰 more taxes than the poor in every country because most businesses are established by these class and groups called the rich, but paying more taxes by the rich will never be the solution to a good public services because the government are not utilizing the taxes collected from both the rich and the poor properly.
Collection of taxes by the government from the rich in higher proportion and the poor in lower proportion according to “pay as you earn” is only a way to make everyone’s income range fail into what they have to pay through earnings, but charging the rich to pay 💰 more taxes has also indirectly hinder their businesses which most times affect the poor citizens who work for this rich men. In other words, the poor has continued to be the ones loosing, being used as escape goats and has nothing to fail back to in most cases.
For me making the rich pay more taxes will only continue to affect businesses and hinder employment opportunities since the government does not have enough jobs to give to its citizens, and most of the companies established by the rich are being over taxed which has lead to many closures of many companies and others who wants to stay afloat are struggling.
It would have been so great and fair if the government are improved in the public services, employment opportunities, maintenance of the roads, good health care and most of all, free education to some certain levels in a country through the taxes the rich and poor are paying as a prove to good governance showing transparency from the citizens taxes. Here it shows that most taxes collected by those in charge are not remitted to the appropriate bodies. This is corruption. Transparency needs accountability. Who should we hold responsible here?
Looking at it from the transparency perspective, the problem here is not the rich paying more then the poor, which will definitely help the government to raise more money 💰 from taxes, but the issue is having a government who are open to its citizens , politicians who are not corrupt but a leadership of men who has conscience to know and do what is right. Taxing citizens and showing nothing for it is a bad governance which has lead to the poor suffering because taxing and over charging the rich is costing the rich to pay 💰 peanut 🥜 salaries to the poor who work for them.
In conclusion, making the rich pay more taxes will never solve the challenges the government are struggling with which has continued to affect all the economy sectors. The solution here only lies in the hands of the government called the corrupt politicians to rethink of their selfish greedy lifestyle they are living. They are only after themselves. Accountability is the responsibility of the government to its citizens but we are not seeing any.
