Hello great people..
Happy new week to you all
Here is my entry to this week's contest which is our week five edition one:
Individual growth
Tell us about your personal growth as a person. Comparing yourself today to how you were five to ten years ago. How far have you come? What are the steps you took to ensure your growth? Someone might learn from your story.
When we talk about personal it has to do with "self" and growth has to do with a gradual process of increase or advancement.

Growth can also be involved with working as a person, cause we don't sit at a spot and grow unlike our physical body growth. Even our physical body requires something to grow and that is food right? And growth requires our "effort"
Personal Growth is a process of understanding yourself and pushing yourself to your highest potential. It can also mean asking yourself who you are becoming and where you are going and how you plan to get there, that's where goals come into play.
I came from a polygamous home where most of my siblings are not educated and I never allowed that get to me, out of my father's children just one person is a graduate cause of this I've always wanted to be different from my other siblings.
Growing up I was fortunate enough to have a loving family, unfortunately I lost my dad when I was way younger and I don't think I know my father. The responsibilities were shifted to my mum alone, at a every young age I started selling or will I say Hawking well I hawked, I never found that interesting cause I wasn't the only one doing it my other siblings were doing it also, I don't have to say no to my mum cause I know fully well it's our means of survival.
Coming from such family background I've always determined to be different from my other siblings not like am better then them but I just want to make a difference. So growing up I've had this mindset of going to school and becoming a chartered accountant that was my dream as a child.
So I got admission into the university, going there with the mindset of becoming an accountant made me to be more focused. Cause I knew the family I came from and I really wanted to be the next graduate in my family. And that dream of mine came true, today am an accountant by profession.

Now talking about goals, I can't remember myself setting goals on how I really want my life to be, life after school I never did that's was why when I graduated I wasn't doing anything reasonable for almost a year and that delayed me.
Steps I took to ensure my growth
Currently I know am a better person compared to how I was some years ago, currently I've been able to keep track of every step I take in life it is going to help me attain something great and know where I've got it wrong to improve in myself, the good part is that I always set goals that helps me to challenge myself on growth.
I think self awareness enables me to recognize my strength and weaknesses, that knowledge helped me to set some certain goals for myself. I think we all know where we have to room to grow well that's a good thing right!! our strength help us to feel the confident in our ability to improve on our weaknesses. I knew the family I was from and that has always been ringing in my ears to even do better in anything am doing.
Secondly I'll say "determination" cause it's the key to success, before going school I've always had this determination that I'll become an accountant and that has kept me going all my stay, by his grace I was able to perform very well, cause I have that determination in me before going to school and everything was very easy for me.
Determination can take you somewhere you've never imagined, having that mentality can grow our mindset as well.
Thank you for reading.
