Gone where the days when things were really hard for me before joining the blockchain or even knowing something like this actually happens. I heard about the free blog to earn platform then steemit which is now hive blockchain back in 2017 while in school (200level), back then life was really tough, I don't have a dad and mum wasn't working but as the first son, we all need to survive. My first work before I entered the university, I was paid 500 naira daily which is around 15000 monthly as a computer operator, it wasn't much but things weren't cost like it is now, but I had to drop the work since I entered school and I had to move to a new campus in another town.
I was scotting in school and mum always send me 2k weekly which I need to use as tfare to school and all, it wasn't enough but as a guy, we have this surviving instinct, I did all sort of work both offline and even join all this Multilevel marketing business online which later lead to debt one way or the other until I came across steemit on facebook, I was curious so I joined without any knowledge and I started making research so as not to go against the rule and regulations and also have knowledge of what I need to do because I was surprised I can actually earn for free as a writer, so I started learning how to write. It wasn't an easy task but gradually I started adjusting bit by bit blogging about my daily activities, what I learn in school and joining different niches. I had this phone with me back then Infinix smart 2

which only have 1gb ram then, it was really old and I just had to keep managing it and I didn't put much stuff on it so it wont crash or perform slow because the 1gb ram wasn't enough. Blogging on it was really hard, at times I will logging to the platform, click the write post section (The pencil icon) and start writing, might have wrote lot of things and all of a sudden the post will off or the browser will crash and I will lose everything I wrote, it was really hard because back in the days, if you wrote anything and you mistakenly close the page, you wont see what you wrote and it wont go to the draft section unlike nowadays, so I had to write afresh or vex and leave. So after a while, I always draft what I want to post first in my phone text editor app or typed it as a message on my whatsap to my second number, then copy and paste to the writing section so I can edit it, even if it crash, I know all I need to do is to paste it again.
I had to do that for months, while accumulating my rewards hoping the price will pump one day, so I blog without without spending anything until one day I experience my first bull season over night, I was really happy like I literally jumped up in my room and I made my first cash out the next day I think it was around 80k or so, I was really happy and decided to get something for myself as a gift, I was tired of the phone though and it wasn't making blogging easy for me so I decide to get my first laptop, it was a hard decision because I had to weight both phone and laptop option and decided to get a second hand laptop which was around 60k

this laptop exactly and it was really heavy when I carried it but it was one of the best back then, and it really served a multipurpose work, blogging, learnt design and artwork and also watch lot of movies anytime I am free. It really made my work easier and most times I do draft my content down somewhere anytime I have the inspiration to write. I will never forget those days of my humble beginning because I really start with nothing but only put in time and effort and I'm really glad I did. Have used many phones and laptop after that which I brought mostly from my online earnings. it will keep serving as lessons and inspirations.
