The idea of a perfect and borderless world is one most of us would love to see come true, because the advent of a world without borders between countries indicates that not just insecurity has been curbed, but that racism, hate, distrust, geopolitical conflict, and the like have been eradicated, and the world is now a haven of peace where inter relational activities can take place without fear of prejudice. But is that even possible with the current happenings around the world?
To start with, I'll love to say that the idea of having a perfect world where everyone can move anywhere around the world without fear of security concern or considering historical context, political considerations, economic interests, cultural, and ethical factors would be a dream come true for me personally, and I know that would be true for many others as well, because it'll bring about the possibility to explore different nations of the world, learn about their culture, appreciate their way of life, appreciate the beauty of nature around them, and much more.
If you are close to me or know a thing or so about me, you'll know I love traveling and exploring new places to not just see such places but to learn about the occupants way of life, their culture, history, and the beauty of their nature around them. While I derive joy from doing that and have only explored my country, there are still some places I can't even reach despite my desire to go there, and that's due to insecurity.
If such a situation is curbed and we now have a peaceful world where everyone can travel around without fear of being a victim of kidnapping, religion violence, curfew, racism, triber bigotry, and the like, that means I won't just sit to explore my country alone; in fact, I'll get to fulfill one of my secret nultured dreams of many years, which is to explore and visit every single country around the world.
Even with the fact that I only travel around Nigeria, some of my friends have labeled me 'Ajala', after the popular Nigerian journalist, Ọlábísí jàlá, who's traveled around the world in his Vespa scooter between 1957 and 1963. Imagine a world without borders; that means I can travel down to anywhere I want and actualize my long-nulled dream.
Definitely, I'll be a traveler, although there would still be a bit of concern that would stand as a stumbling block for these aspirations, and the major one is finance. Traveling between countries requires a huge amount of money to be spent on either flights, ships, or other means of transportation, but if I have the financial capability, then I'll definitely become a traveler who explores the world.
Talking about how my daily life would be If I don't have to worry about insecurity, that means I can do anything that pleases me without being afraid of people oppressing me for my skill color, or my race, nationality, religion, and the like. It means I can easily wake up one morning and be like, I want to visit the heart of Sambisa Forest, and I won't be scared that I might not make it back alive and the like.
Not having to worry about security also means I'll be at peace and do my things my way without the fear of showcasing what I've or have achieved for fear that it'll attract thieves and the like to me, so that brings about peace for me and eradicates fear in that aspect, and this can greatly even improve my health and well-being because there are people around the world who live constantly in fear of what might befall them in the next minute due to insecurity.
The possibility of having such a world any time soon is very low. There are loads of things that need to be put in place and addressed before such a world can come to reality, like global warming issues, economic disparities, security concerns, geopolitical conflict, and the like, to mention but a few, and each of these needs to be critically worked upon, and everyone must come to a consensus before such a world can be.
With the continuous threat of war, racism, tribalism, geological conflict, religion and cultural differences, and much more in place, it'll be hard to have such a world in reality, and while it would have been a wonderful idea, I personally think such a world can only exist in our imagination and never really exist in reality due to the many constraints that revolve around bringing such a world to reality.
That's about it for now. I hope you enjoyed the read and understand my opinion. I'll love to hear yours in the comment section as well. Have a wonderful day ahead, and stay blessed.
