Hello, good evening to all #hive users, especially all members who have joined the #hiveearnes community.
After I read and studied several posts from the moderators and several other posts Learn About Hive Locks & Its Security, I think this context is very interesting to discuss especially as I am only 1 week familiar with hive and I should first know about all the security that I have to keep inside me join this hive platform.
The first step after you have successfully created a hive account is to keep your safe, which may happen if you lose your laptop/cellphone, or if someone wants to hack your account first, we are always ready to keep our account as much as possible. You can save your hive key in, notes, in gmail and any other place that you think is safest from the scammers who are always stalking your account.
Here I will explain the function of each of these keys. That's why Hive uses a hierarchical lock system to keep you safe. You are given a key that has different permissions. For example,
Posting Key
Posting Key (which is meant for frequent use) has a limited set of permissions for social actions that require less security. Post key is the first key which has access for first time login when you want to login, make post/edit post, comment, follow others, support others and if others get your key you will not lose money because you are unusable for monetary action.
Active Key
Little do I know about the active key that is, it has more permissions than the posting key. if the posting key cannot be used for monetary purposes, while this key can be used for monetary purposes, namely more access to your wallet, for example: to make edits to our profile some are asked for an active key, transfer hbd or hive or exchange hbd and hive.
Owner Key
This key is actually the most very important to guard and the most very dangerous, The owner key is needed to change other keys. This key has additional permissions to recover your account. I personally think this key should be stored offline safely because if your account is stolen you still have a chance to save your account.
Memo Key
If you have received a private message that you want to decrypt, as usual you should use a key with the minimum required authority, which in this case is the Memo Key. The memo key is the key that has the least number of rights to certificates.
Actions to be taken to keep all our keys safe from scammers and bad guys, firstly, never give your password to anyone for any reason, then never log into a web where we are required to log in using an account. hive, don't ever try to visit a link which will jeopardize your account. keep your account and avoid things that we shouldn't do for the sake of your account security.
That's a little that I can be as clear as and what I know about Hive Keys & It's Security as I'm still very new here, If there are shortcomings in terms of my writing, I apologize on behalf of the author and if something is missing I will edit my post so that it is more complete . My best regards @vikar to all #hiveleaners community program managers.
