In the world today, everybody wants to keep fit and have that perfect body they've always dreamt of and that is where these two "Diet and Exercise" come into play, people often get confused about the particular one to engage in to get their desired body.
Out of curiosity "Have they changed the meaning of dieting?" People from my part of the world have changed dieting into starvation for "reasons best known to them" but then I feel like the definition of "dieting" should be revisited and made known to everyone even those who act of ignorance. Recently I was going through feeds on my social media handle when I came across a video in which a lady mentioned and I quote: "I've reduced the number of times I eat in a day because I'm on a diet".
I thought " Dieting" was all about eating healthily, so why are some people reducing the number of times they eat in a day, I'm concerned because I want to start my dieting journey and someone is saying "reduce the number of times I eat" now I'm having a second thought about it.

The term "Dieting" is all about regulating our intake of food and not reducing the quantity of food we take "Let's be guided" so I won't be misled into doing certain things I'll regret later in the future biko.
The other part "Exercise" is becoming very popular these days in the gym, the number of people that visit the gym has increased because everyone wants to keep fit. Now I'm looking like the only one who doesn't want that for myself, well, you are wrong because, deep down inside of me "I do want that" Imagine everyone I know hitting the gym and I, on the other hand, isn't bothered about it "I'm bothered" just that I'm not showing it or you can say "I'm inwardly bothered".
Exercise isn't for the faint-hearted, I'm gonna share my little experience, there was a time when my stomach was getting big due to some weight I gained, and someone advised me to exercise from the comfort of my home "which sounds nice" Well, I tried it but then the inconsistency in me wouldn't let me continue.

Dieting and exercise are related, they go hand in hand and are both important, they both play a significant role when it comes to shaping the human body and staying healthy. I feel like people should just do what works better for them "whether it's staying on a diet or exercise" or maybe even do both.
But then that doesn't make it mandatory or a "do or die affair" I've seen put so much pressure on themselves just to keep fit "Now that is toxic", constantly pushing the body into doing certain things even when the body isn't willing.
As much as staying healthy is very important doesn't mean one should overdo it. Our body size does not mean we aren't healthy, we were created differently and that is the perfection in every human.
