You know, as a guy that I am, while I was just thinking of what ti write, the first thing that came to my mind was that:
I'm I not a man? As a man, there is less or no discrimination for me, cause a woman can not anything relating to discrimination for my gender...
Just after I thought of this nonsense, my head came back to normal and so I remember when even my mom used to make me do somethings I do not want to do, but just because I am a man, I have to do it, leaving the female gender to rest, it's sometimes really annoying...
I can recall a lot of times that I will be sent on errands at late hours, funny enough, or should I say the most annoying fact about the message I was sent is that I might not necessarily have to be the one that will benefit from what I went to get that late, it could be that my sister could be like she wants to eat noodles and then it's already late, she knows that she can't tell me to get the noodles for her, (cause I'd definitely not answer her) she'd then go and tell my mom or my dad, (no my mom,not my dad, cause my dad will be like, it's late, you should get it tomorrow, so she'd have to tell my mom, cause she's the only one that might just consider the fact that she don't want to eat sweet eba and confirm soup) and so the next thing I'd hear is: Chris! Mummy is calling you.
And if I check the time, and I see that it's heading to 11pm, and I know I've done everything I am supposed to do so if be able to avoid unnecessary callings at night, cause I just want to either peacefully watch a movie or Write, or even just rest, but unfortunately, I already know that I was called so as for me to go get something at that time...
And there are also sometimes where I am exactly sure why she's calling me, but then for me to confirm if she wants to either send me in an errand or just tell me something, there's a way she'd call me, when she calls me by my nickname, or put one style or the other while calling my name, or hailing me when I did not do anything, then I'll just sign and ask, ma what do you where do you want to send me to by this time, and then she'd just smile and then I already know the agenda of her calling...
I called it a discrimination because ever since she started such act is sending me late hours message, it has been only me that she sends...
Sometimes I get annoyed and not feel like going, but it seems like who I'm I to say no when she has sent a message? Most of the times she just sends errands, bit caring if you have anything planned or not, all she wants you to do is to not complain and do it.
Unlike my father, whenever he wants to send me on an errand, he'd first ask me what I am doing from so so so time so so so time, and if I am free, he'd send me for the errands, but if I am not free, he'd tell me what he wants to do so I'd put in my plans for the next day, as simple and comfortable as it is. But my mom on the other hand, as far as she needs something and she has put in her mind that I'd be the one to run the errands, it's like a stamp, just the way the ink Is permanent, her heart will remain like that, and then she'd wait for the day you'd come and ask her for something, lol...
It's all just tiring sometimes, but what can be done.
Parents, always ask if your children has plans for their day before you add yours, You can't tell what they are going through unless you ask, if not, it's like a pressure on them, and also, do not put the burden on just one person, share it equally...
