This summer is hot like every July in our country. The relentless sun and the little rain makes these days hard to bear. But nevertheless, we are on vacation!
This month, when most families are on their vacation trips, enjoying the beach or other attractions, we are studying 🤣. The good thing is that we are doing it together 😉.
My daughter, husband and I enrolled in a summer school course at the University of Havana: Project Management; techniques and tools for success. We searched for a topic that would fit everyone's interest among the more than thirty possibilities. We found three potential candidates but unfortunately we could only choose one because they coincided in dates and times.
We started on Monday the 14th and the first class was quite rewarding for all 3 of us, so we started off with good vibes!!! 😊☘️. The teacher is a very young guy excellently prepared. The group is very diverse, people from many different specialties that give a plus to the exchange. There are accountants, economists, psychologists, sociologists, designers, lawyers, doctors and students from different careers.
The only negative of this little summer adventure is the schedule. We start at 1 o'clock in the afternoon!!!!🥵. Luckily in the salon there is air conditioning, but the departure from home and the commute is quite challenging. At noon in Havana the wind chill these days reaches over 35°C and the relative humidity is in the crazy percentages.
We will try to make the most of these learning vibes that summer brought us mixed with its usual warmth. Other exciting vibes are about to come into our lives before the month is over. I will be back here to tell you about it and how this learning journey ends. By the way, my husband and I are the most "adults" of the class 😜.
